Okay, so let me ask you this: What makes you question her trustworthiness?

Nothing from her essay is being outright refuted or disproved. Hardwick's seemingly not fighting it outwardly. His response didn't cover a lot of her claims. And she, for her part, is not actively going after him. She said she wanted to say it for her own reasons, she did, and now she's walking away.

Is she getting new jobs? Doing tons of interviews? Writing a book about it? The only things I'm hearing is that Hardwick is slowly coming back.



I get the false accusations thing. I do. I wouldn't want to walk around with it. But why would she say it? Especially knowing that to this point, this may be the most noteworthy thing she's known for among the broadest audience?

Again, I'm weird. I can see a scenario where they're both telling the truth. The way this is playing out reinforces my scenario. And, in the end, Hardwick looks like he's gonna be fine.

I have learned to keep my arguments to myself...no point in discussing. Nothing personal, I have just had too many 'hot' conversations about it. I think it's a little cavalier to say he is gonna be ok. Look, he has worked tirelessly to establish his 'brand' and while this lingers it still does damage. Like I said, if you had ever been falsely accused of something you would have an idea of the toll it exacts. I have no idea what the truth is. I just know that until someone takes someone to task for the wild west lack of responsibility on Twitter we are going to keep sliding down a slippery slope.

Call the number. Be polite. Ask for Alan Horn's office. Leave a message that you would like James Gunn rehired. Takes a minute, 2 tops. By the time you call they will likely have a system in place. PLEASE. Make the call. This can not stand!!!!! MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

I have known him professionally for almost 30 years. No one has ever said a bad word about him...always quite the opposite. I have worked with him on quite a few occasions and have never thought anything but the best of him. I am, unfortunately, out of town right now so can't get all the scuttlebutt that I know was going around today at my office.
 
yikes, i hope it isn’t true but i feel like who knows.

the guy i dated from the age of 16-21 was the kind of guy anyone would say was the sweetest guy, a big teddy bear. but he had rage issues that only i ever saw. i once saw him yank the family dog’s tail and the tail was screwed up permanently afterward. he was fine to me for the majority of the time until i was 21. then one day, as we were going through the drive thru, he ordered food and didn’t ask me if i wanted anything. i got kind of annoyed and told him it would’ve been nice to ask me if i wanted anything. he got mad at me. i decided to get out of his truck because i got more upset at his reaction and then he yanked me back in and hit me. the relationship was all downhill after that. (more hitting). his family and everyone he knows would be shocked he did any of that but i never told anyone in his circle.
sometimes people are only terrible to people they’re intimate with or creatures who can’t tell anyone.
