You're on your own now,
Don't you think that's a shame?
But you're the only one responsible to take the blame.
So what ya gonna do when the novelty has gone?
Yeah, what ya gonna do when the novelty has gone?
no:

I am digging this interview.

Kid Congo. He talks about being a young kid in the L.A scene and the whole music vibe then (say punk, underground, post punk) basically 70's and 80's stuff.

Oh, plus, he was one of the Bad Seeds (guitar). Tender Prey era.

Happy 30th Birthday to one of the most ethereal albums ever produced. You have aged well my friend.

Nice. I'll have to check it out. "Dream into Action" was such a great album. I feel like im 15 again when I listen to it.

Dream Into Action was the very first CD I ever bought (vs. vinyl). I was in college, and was the first of my friends to have a CD player.
Haven't listened to that link yet. Hope it's good stuff

Yeah, his first 2 albums are great. Really enjoying it. He's going on tour fairly soon here in the US...going to see him at Humphrey's down in San Diego on 7/12. Always puts on a great show.

My first CD was U2 War. Still have it in fact. Got to be 35 years old by now. Lol!

To think there was ever a time in Los Angeles that bands that sounded like this were coming out.

Wicked! guitarist:

My first CD was Catching up with Depeche Mode, but it had already been out years by then. How much, I don't remember.

My first physical CD was Tears For Fears "Songs from the Big Chair" I had a boombox with a CD player, bought that CD and then tons right after as funds would allow.

I consider myself a pretty big Cure fan but could never really get into the album. Song is great + a couple others but not the greatest debut album IMO...they clearly had their best yet to come...around 1989 to be exact.

Amazing song on an amazing album.

Go, go now you've been set free. Another month or so you'll be gorging on me...
