Announcers just don't bother me. I'm too busy watching the game and having my own thoughts as to how it's going.
I stopped paying attention to what these announcers have to say when Bob Miller retired.

Tocchet has Vancouver playing pretty well lately. Saturday should be a good game.
 
a few thoughts...

1) A fine performance against an inferior team. Ya gotta win these types of games
2) Well deserved 1st star for Dewy tonight. It was really nice to see
3) 4th line playing well again.
4) Missing Fiala, but still winning without him
5) I have no clue why Jordan Spence isn't playing
6) Quickie got thrashed tonight, Kings within striking distance of 1st place in the division
 
Time of year where it seems like a week between games I just want to watch this team play
 
Anyone else notice that the Coach gave a huge nod to the 4th line by putting all 3 of them out on the late PP at the end of the game? They deserved it. I feel bad for JAD, but that line should stay together to build chemistry. (although when Fiala comes back someone is going to lose a job)


That 1st period was a piece of artwork. Every CBJ play was broken up perfectly. Felt bad for the young goalie in the 2nd....he stormed down the tunnel when he got pulled.

Can't wait till the next game!

So glad to see the Kings stick to their gameplan and not be frustrated by a hot goalie. Way to blow that one open and then close out the game.

If the Kings do manage to win it all, Luc better build a #Lumbus statue out front.

So I only caught the 3rd period and missed all the Kings goals... but I saw the highlights and just wanted to say this real quick.

1st goal - Doughty. Hey, what do you know? He CAN play like Makar. He should do this more often which his puck control abilities. I know his shot is terrible but this way, he creates opportunities and bounces and he got one here.

2nd goal - Hot damn, that effort from Mikey and then Byfield with his creative "no look" passes. I think Kopi is starting to expect it more and more which explains why he's scoring more this year compared to the last 4-5 seasons.

3rd goal - Arvidsson is a pure sniper. Not much more to say about that. I'm glad we got a goal scorer like him, Fiala, and Kempe.

4th goal - 110% all Grunny. Amazing. No reason he should be scratched ever again.

They're going to work it into the Kings broadcast I'm sure - and it's the ugliest thing in the world. The puck tracer makes it look like sticks are breaking and flying all over the place - and the nameplate just makes zero sense to me, they have HUGE NUMBERS on their backs. If you don't know the player by the number than look it up FFS. The puck tracker I can KIND of get, but the nameplates need to gtfo.

I absolutely agree. One instance was when the guy got hit with the puck to face, Faust started talking about the guy's inability to "find a home team" - like that has anything to do with him getting a puck to the face. He does this to varying degrees all game long. If a guy makes a play the first thing he'll talk about is the guy's inability to make plays in college, or something similar. It is basically all game long and I find him to be very negative as well. I think it irks Jim a lot of the time as afterwards Jim will be dead silent for longer than usual.

On a random note - why is Derek Armstrong allowed to be on TV?

IDK about best but having him has been awesome. Our GAA is like what, down by 2? since he got here? And scoring more I think with the activations. Exciting.

In what universe does that puck-tail thing actually enhance the game. I wouldn't even tolerate it in a video game, let alone the real thing. Bettman and Co. better realize that this is an asinine subtraction from the great game of hockey. Otherwise, TV viewership is going to tank.
 
Last night was the first night in March where the opposition did not finish with EXACTLY 2 goals (Nash scored 1 and got the SO goal). Kind of an interesting stat and makes you a real playoff favorite if you are giving up 2 or less per game.
