Fire Hiller

I wonder if he even thinks his job is on the line.

Actually, with the way Blake works, I wonder if Hillers job performance is even in question.

Danny B:
Burn it all down.
Clean out the FO. Luc, Blake, Hiller.

Should have been done after last season.

Clown show.
And start a rebuild? Man, what a bummer... all these years post-cup and nothing but four straight first round exits to show for it. I guess you've got to rip the band aid off and just go for it.

Time to stop placating and bending to the whims of 8 and 11. Fresh leadership is mandatory. They're too passive
and just plain old. It happens.
There is a good enough of a foundation to build on.

If the Kings lose tonight, and Hiller is fired shortly thereafter, this will automatically become a candidate for Post of the Year.

Worst case scenario: We lose and Blake keeps Jim "The Gambler" Hiller around for another season.
No... the worst case is Blake making the call on who coaches. He and really Luc must go! Luc can stay on in public relations. They must go before we even think of replacing Hiller.

Hiller absolutely has to go. The coaching choices towards the end of the season were truly insane. And the playoff format really just showed how out of his depth he truly was. He over relied on his veterans for no reason. We don’t need to replay the tape on the bonehead challenge either. I honestly think the Kings only had a great year because Kuemper decided he wanted to have a revival tour.

That said, the whole org is rotten through to the core. Blake and Luc have really screwed the organization up. Kopi and Doughty’s retirement parade has set the team back several years for the sake of nostalgia. This team’s management must seriously enjoy sniffing their own farts.

I’m not sure how I feel about Kings hockey for the next few years. This half a decade of mediocre hockey has really soured my care about the team. Obviously I care but I really don’t want to support a management squad whose only mantra is “get in the playoffs” without any real game plan for it. That’s why I could respect Lombardi, at the very least he had a rough but deliberate plan for the team.
