Fire Hiller

If ownership were going to clean house it probably would’ve happened today.

Blake and Hiller will be back.
I doubt nothing happening today means they are staying. The team would probably conduct the player exit interviews before canning anyone.

That said, the most LA Kings thing to do here would be to fire Blake and replace him with Marc Bergevin.

I have never seen anyone mentioned Gematria before for NHL related , other than when Montreal went to finals in COVID bubble season When only Canadian teams played vs each other before finals, and based on Gematria Montreal should have won Stanley cup that season and I know a lot of NBA, MLB and NFL games based on that like 666 game reference and etc

Steve Kerr got his 666th win (567 in regular season + 99 in playoffs) on April 11,Kobe Bryant scored 81 points in his 666 game
But it's interesting point
I used to do a lot of Gematria decoding. It made me really unhappy knowing how our societies are scripted to a large degree by really sh*tty people. So I stopped. Now I’m happier. Very limited news and events in my life outside of my home for me!

I’m afraid you’re correct.

What this means for me is that I’ll be following the UHC until Hiller and Blake are gone. I like what they’re building there, and in a good location.

With all the talk of how awful a decision is was to challenge that play (and it was just that, an awful decision) I think that a lot of people flow over the fact that on the ensuing goal both Anderson and Gavrikov reverted back to the days of the Escort Service. I've seen better D at the Pro Bowl than what those two gave on that play.

Time to purge the front office.
There is enough good young talent so that a full rebuild is not necessary, but they must be surrounded- on the ice, behind the bench and upstairs, by people who can get the best out of them.

If they don't, then we are destined to become the Black Hawks for years to come.
I lived through the 81-86 seasons and I never want to see us there again.
Like you, I not only survived the 81-86 seasons but also 2003-2009.

Not sure if this was posted yet.

The room has to be in the pits now. I guarantee they’re all talking about this guy, and not in a good way.

IMO, Kempe’s agent is going to tell Blake he wants to test the free market, so they’ll trade him. I seriously doubt he stays.

That paves the way for a couple others to jump ship as well (Kuz and Gavi). I don’t see either of them extending in LA. Their value increased from this series despite the loss. Both played really well.

After that it’s anyone’s guess who Blake might trade to move up in the draft or fill holes. I wonder if Fiala might be moved as well?

I'm not trolling but in terms of the challenge I've not heard one fan rip the video coaches and you know they probably sold Hiller on the "bad" goal. Ultimately it's Hiller's call but I have to believe the video coaches to use a wrestling phrase "oversold" him on the play.

I agree to a point about the bad advice but we all had plenty of time watching the replays for the goal itself, coach included. There was no reason to gamble at that point of the game or the series.

I believe the video coaches have at least 1 other feed to see we don't and I'm just guessing but I imagine they said "coach we got a bad goal here, challenge it" To me it looked maybe 60/40 in Edmonton's favor as I did see one angle where Kane's stick pushes Kuemper's leg into the net which I'll assume might be the angle the video coaches saw? I'm assuming alot though

I remember during the pause, I was thinking,

"Please don't challenge, it looks like a good goal"
"Please don't challenge, it looks like a good goal"
"Please don't challenge, it looks like a good goal."

It's a bad day for anyone, haha, when they make a mistake that not even I would make.

Just got my #24 Jay Wells jersey in the mail a few days ago. Something I've always wanted! Home colors. Just a replica, but I'm jazzed. Boy does this current team need someone with that kind of heart. We're so soft man... :-(
Can you post a pic of it please? The early/mid 80s jerseys are still my all-time favorite. Yes, I wish this team had a D man like Jay that didn't get pushed around. He didn't score many goals but was one mean SOB.

Thank you.

I was thinking about Hiller’s issue with ice time. And how he rode the top guys while not playing the bottom ones. And to me, we don’t have the team to do that. I like our guys, but there’s no McDavid, Draisaitl, MacKinnon, & so on. Those teams can ride those guys, double shift them if they have to. We don’t have that kind of elite talent. So there’s 2 choices. Either get elite talent or play the full roster of everyone you’ve got. And this is why I’m now thinking Blake & Hiller weren’t on the same page. Because either Hiller thought his bottom guys were untrustworthy & couldn’t play them, which is Blake’s fault. Or he had good enough guys that he could've played them but didn’t, in which case it’s Hiller’s fault. Our roster isn’t perfect by any means but I’m leaning to the latter. They say a coach can only play the team he’s given. But Hiller didn’t do that. He played 3/4 of the team. So if they’re going to work together, if either are coming back, they need to get on the same page as far as the roster.

“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears.“

Just like last year, watch Rob & Luc when they have their time with the press…..they’ll tell everyone look at how good we were: 2nd place in the standings, look how we won 2 in a row at home…look at the regular season stats..we are just a couple of pieces away…almost there! We can and will do better.

Meanwhile Kings fans see yet again 4 seasons straight with no change against the same opponent.

Kings fans, you really don’t want Blake to get a new contract!!! It will be more of the same.

Kings are back to the pre-Timmy & Lombardi Kings of old. 1st or 2nd round and out club.

Demand more from your organization.
Clean out the front office.
It’s what Timmy would do.
