Inept coach….has to go.
5 forwards on a power play that is the worst in the league… opposing forwards get behind Kempe playing defense and score short handed goals. Shuffling lines, rotating defense combinations, etc. constant bad decisions. Give us an asskicker like Torts… think back to what Sutter did albeit with a much better roster.

Just bring back Sutter

It’s a fine memory. But that is all it should be. Time to move ahead instead.
Well, you need somebody to come in, get them motivated, and turn the corner in Kopi’s last year. He’s the one to do it.

Then, he can retire and go back to the cows.

It was clearly obvious from the takeaway which led to the shorty against vs Calgary that teams know exactly what the Kings power play is all about, which makes it simple for opposition to be where the puck is going. This is on coaching. Special teams has shown nothing new to defend against, which is why they’re 31st in the league. As a result, this team will tank in the playoffs yet again, only this time to a Central division team, cuz we’re likely landing in a wild card spot

Hiller might be on the hot seat, however, I just don't believe the Kings have the players to compete. They are built for the playoffs but does anyone believe they will get there?

The Kings don't have multiple players that are hurt and are coming back by Jan 1st. That's not the case. I was hoping a young player in Ontario, that we really haven't heard about could bring life and spark this team. Wishful thinking on my part.

I just can't buy into the idea that it is a talent/roster issue when the coach is so clearly not putting together meaningful game plans and strategies. He continues to under-use the young players while, once again, overplaying the aged vets which will, as a result, not be fresh come playoff time nor are the younger players being given opportunity to grow. He continues to roll an ineffective PP, doubling down on the 5 forward strategy which is clearly not working out. Additionally he has done next to nothing to enhance his ineffective 5v5 strategy, other than starting to play the younger players a slight bit more (usually as a result of injury / vet being unavailable).

When you suit up a forward and play him under 5 minutes, there is a problem. When your PP continues to be in the dumps, there is a problem (you can't tell me the Kings don't have 5 high quality skaters on the roster). When the coach continues to put all the blame on the players, and none on himself, there is a problem...

Get an above average, or even average, head coach and we will see this team winning games without having to rely on the goalie to consistently bail them out.

Kings excel defensively, suck offensively. Can they improve the offense without sacrificing the defense too much (Kings' bread and butter)? ... depends on coaching and buy in. IMO, they have the players to do this but, they look too wound up defensively.

My issue with the organization (since Lombardi was fired) is that they have shown very little ability to find (draft, develop, sign or trade for) above-average offensive players. There are a few exceptions but less than a handful.

Instead of figuring out how to get impactful offensive players they’ve decided to lean into extremely low event hockey. It’s easier and cheaper for an organization to build a strong defensive team.

Low event hockey has a very low ceiling as we’ve seen come the playoffs. The longer Luc forces this rigid paradigm the longer the fanbase will suffer in both boring games and short playoff runs. It’s loser ****.

Hiller has no answers for anything. He’s barely an NHL caliber head coach. Not the worst I’ve ever seen but he’s at the bottom of the barrel with 10+ other current coaches. He simply doesn’t move the needle in a positive direction.
