If not Hillier, then who?

Hm, if John thinks the Kings are looking to make Sturm an assistant, then that means Hiller is the man. Otherwise they would be waiting on the new HC to make those decisions.

I see T-Mac is rumored for the Toronto job. I did not see they parted was with Sheldon Keefe. Must have missed that one.

But I agree, Yawns will likely end up where T-Mac does.

He went into it a bit more on the latest podcast. Sounds like the theory is retain Hiller as HC, DJ King to coach Defense and Marco Sturm as the offense specialist.

All things considered I don’t mind it. As long as they move away from any rigid, passive offensive formation/structure, not just limited to 1-3-1, the ceiling on next years team gets higher. Mix in more minutes for Spence and Clarke playing every night and the Kings should be a bit more exciting next season.

I thought I read T-Mac was up for the Seattle gig. Maybe I read it wrong.

Having a good coach is great, but no one's going to singularly get us out of our roster composition issues. On that note--is Galant still on the board? He seems like a good coach and got a raw deal in Vegas I'd like to see him Jiu-Jitsu that to whoop up our gambling Neighbors

Rob will make the easy choice, and go for the low hanging fruit....it's what he has always done when it comes to hiring coaches. Anything different than that means the FO is actually changing the way they have been operating for a decade.
