It’s deadline season!

I am all in the Kings being big sellers!

It's pretty amazing that even after this 5-game losing streak, the Kings are only 3 points out of a playoff spot.

I think this team is going nowhere, but last night's game made me think of the first game after the Felix Potvin trade, which we lost 5-0. That team seemed to be going nowhere fast at that point, but it ended up being quite a year.

It's hard for a team to keep its focus when its goalie gives up 4 bad goals in a game. We've been relying on good goaltending to cover our other deficiencies. When we don't get that, things can get ugly fast.

I should clarify. I wouldn’t trade anything for Laine. Not Byfield, not any player, & not any pick or prospect. I wouldn’t take Laine if they gave us another pick or player to take him. Nothing.
 
My hope is prices remain high and Holland decides to keep his powder dry so he can trade at the draft.

There’s no one available that’s more of an impact player than Panarin and look how that’s worked out after two games. Not saying we can draw a final conclusion but even as good as he is he’s just one player. This team has multiple holes. Too many to address before the deadline imo.

Yeah, while I don’t necessarily want to make snap judgements after two games coming off a three-week break, it’s hard to come to a conclusion other than this current roster is full of holes. I don’t even know where they should start.

Toronto has soured on Matthews due to him being the Captain of team USA.
Doughty is beloved a favorite son of Toronto and they will need to replace Ekman-Larson who they are expected to trade for picks

Who wouldn’t? Unfortunately this is the real world and not XBOX so there is zero chance Toronto would do that.

We would have to add Byfield, Clarke, Laferriere and/or at least one 1st round pick for that trade to be realistic!
 
Just looking at the league schedule through the TDL is doesn't look good for the Kings if you want them to sell. In fact it looks like a nightmare even counting the automatic loss to the Aves much less with them giving us a loser point.
