If they add Reinbacher, too...sure.Rumors of Laine to LA are making the rounds again. If Foegele and Ceci are going back the other way I guess I’m fine with it.

I agree with this. See who is available at the deadline, use the cap space, and improve with the eye on next year.I'm thinking the Kings will be buyers which seems stupid but with so many teams now out of it it might make sense. Maybe trade Perry but if Holland can gets some upgrades for next season it may be worth it. I know everyone hates the Dumolin and Ceci signings but that was what was available. Injuries have now crippled their ability to do a full on rebuild. If the oil lose tonight and we somehow beat the Islanders...
I think that any move the Kings make now is geared toward next season. I don't think there are significant UFAs available over the summer so if they can pick up another C at a decent price now that helps set the table for next season, why not.Seriously does anyone believe the Kings still have a shot at the playoffs, even with losing the last six out of seven. Colorado played down to the Kings until it mattered. Colorado did not play down to the Ducks as the Ducks are a playoff team. In the last 7 games, the Kings have beat one team and that team is below them in the standings. I believe Holland is smart enough to understand that this team is limited and the teams ahead of the Kings are not. The Kings already brought in an outstanding goal scorer.
It’s pretty clear the Kings lack NHL level wingers and forwards in general. Laine is probably not a long term fit but if he’s healthy and he comes cheap I’ve got no problems adding him onto this sinking ship if only for a glorified tryout.I don’t see much if any downside in picking up Laine for a 5th or lower. Might cut short a longer look at Wright or Connors when Armia and Moore are back in, but if Laine does well then that’s intriguing too. In a one year-contract type of way.
Especially not if Montreal are looking to shed salary for another deal before the playoffs. That what we could capitalize on our cap situation and get a pretty good pick along with Laine. It’s pretty clear the Kings lack NHL level wingers and forwards in general. Isn’t it a bit early to put Panarin in the same category as that dreadful company…Roenick, Kovalchuk, Phaneuf, Iginla (I did like Iginla though), Setoguchi, PLD, Panarin and possibly Laine......... the cycle continues![]()
Ok Ill reserve judgement but I'll go on record as not a fan of that signing. But really do we need another winger/center who only plays well when they feel like it and the rest of the time just slugs it out like sloth only looking for his paycheck.Isn’t it a bit early to put Panarin in the same category as that dreadful company…

Kings has 11 millions in cap after Fiala injury, why not try to get someone who can help to get in playoffs
P.S Look at Chicago and Ducks cap![]()
