Confirmed with Link Kings name Holland their 10th GM in History

Past does not dictate the future. At some point a team on the West Coast will sign an A tier UFA in his prime. It will happen. I think there’s a good chance it happens this summer. 51% chance Marner signs in LA, imo.
I like your odds. I'm still waiting for the ICE24 prediction on what will happen. Now there's a real Nostradamus or Miss Cleo.

The stars are aligning
The sheer amount of Ducks positivity in the last three pages, has me questioning if there is a random gen x huntington beach resident, standing frozen by his lap pool feeling there is a disturbance in the force.

If a contender wants Perry, it's my guess he goes there. He seems like the kind of guy who wants to go out in a blaze of glory not fade away in SoCal with the Ducks.

When it's all said and done he can sign a 1 day contract with the Ducks and retire as a Duck.

Where can I wager on Doughty and Perry playing in a Czech semipro league with Jagr one day?

Bring his brother back home too. At least we know they don’t mind living in LA.
Not sure if you are serious here. What kind of trade package would the Kings need to put together to land him? Kings would be much better off just buying Mitch (not the monkey Mitch) IMO.

You know I used to joke that the next Kings 100 point player has not even been born yet, but it got too sad. And the last one is exactly who you think it is but Robertson did crack a hundo, like 2 seasons ago? He could be that guy.

Yeah, the price is going to be high and his (righ now very affordable) contract is up next year, same as Kempe's, so he's not going to be very affordable cap-wise, either. But should still command a lower rate than Marner...

The problem here is that there's a lot of teams out there with stacked farms and spinning tires and those teams could outbid the Kings without problem when it comes to potential talent. Sadly, Anaheim and SJ are among those teams.

That said, Dallas is in a win-now mode, so...Danault+Moore+a 1st? Is that even close to enough? Maybe it is because he only has 1 year left on his contract. Would Dallas want Fiala??
(But you only do it IF the Kings manage to negotiate the contract extension before finalizing the deal, of course.)

Then how are the Kings going to visibly improve the defense? Is there a universe in which the Kings can acquire both Robertson and Broberg? A combination of Danault, Moore, Spence, Fiala and 1-3 1st round picks (depending on how much roster players Ken wants to keep, especially Moore as he's very good value for money)? Both Dallas and Buffalo are looking for immediate help, so I don't see them asking for Greentree...is it worth giving up 3 1st rounders (worst case scenario) that may never make it since the Kings would be very good and would pick at the end of the line? Maybe it is...maybe Ken is crazy enough to do something like that...

And call ME crazy but I'd prefer trading a lot of assets for Robertson and signing him long-term for 11py instead of signing Marner at 14+py...I feel Marner is a big, big trap...like a low hanging fruit that turns out to be posioned lol.

Very true about the contract. I would also question what Dallas would want in return? Futures/prospects, or a different top end piece(s).

Also, guy seems a little on the soft side, not the type of player that is going to move the needle much for the Kings in the playoffs, especially when considering the cost.

Yeah, it is kind of crarzy. He had only a single season where he was over a PPG. The rest were under. However, his 5+ year average is still over a PPG overall.
