But is Calgary that much better in that regard? Or maybe he simply realized that while playing in Calgary...also hot climate may not be suitable for all Swedes...

It's a very good point. I'm not very pro-Marner, but all things considered this is a big factor in decision making...

I'm still reserving judgement for a few days, but I hope there won't be too much reason for pessimism regarding next season that, if the team is badly put together and plays like cr@p could potentially dissuade Kempe away, too...

To start the season...and then adjust accordingly.

Wouldn't hurt to have a right shot FW for each PP unit either...

Hey, come on now! It’s not like we live in igloos and have polar bears walking the streets here in Sweden… 😉

But seriously, the ”I don’t want to play for LA” is beginning to get worrisome. In my opinion it has more to do with the traveling and being away from the family than anything else.

Pierre LeBrun said he didn’t want to extend here (or CBJ or OTT). The team he’s willing to extend with before playing there is Vegas. Of course…

I think it comes down to winning and I think this year was especially embarrassing/damning.

I could get on board with that. If the Rangers overpay for Gavrikov, I'd really like to push back and screw them with a RFA offer sheet to Will Cuylle.
