1st period over. Game is tied for now with one goal for each team but LA has to keep their heads up in the next 2 periods and not get conservative like they did in the past several games. I'm still keeping my hopes down as to not get too optimistic about how LA is playing right now.

Don’t wanna jinx anything but that was the best period the Kings have played all road trip. The 1st line actually looked dominant again. The 3rd line got a ton of good looks. The 4th line even had a couple good shifts. Even the PP looked good.

Detroit is one of the fastest teams in the league. The Kings skated with them stride for stride in that period. The game should be 1-0 if not for Talbot’s brain going into vapor lock.
