***LA Kings @ Ottawa Senators GDT 12/6/22 4:00pm PT on BSW***

Durzi looking great tonight. He's had 2-3 plays where he's taken the safe + conservative option when he might have otherwise been tempted to do the opposite.

He can keep improving hopefully.

I agree, however he has made his share of gaffes as well. I do dig his puck movement

Maybe they just don't have the pressure on the road as they do at home, playing in front of their fans.

Less and less fans each game if they keep losing at home. That'll take the pressure off them :eyebrows:

Share of gaffes? Tonight? Must be watching different games, he's been great and taken the conservative route when he should be.

Senators have turned the "Stifle Level" up to 10 here. Gotta admire their fight. The Kings would just be sitting back and resting if the score was reversed

Well, I really watched only a third of the game but I've liked Copley since he played in preseason. He seems poised and we'll see if he can handle more starts. Nice to hear that Kings got off to a great start. Always start on time boys!

That was a satisfying, payback kinda win!

Well-played from top to bottom. GKG!!!

I’ll take the credit, on business travel need to go back and read the comments looks like one of the teams best games. Need to decide wether to make the effort to watch Thursday’s game, if I need to miss the game for a win I’m in!!!! GKG

The best part of this game is that it just looked ... normal. No glaring missed coverages, only a couple minor, boneheaded gaffes that were quickly adjusted for. Normal looking saves looked routine.

And the lines looked balanced. I was a little worried about Kaliyev on the top line but he made a few nice plays and generally didn't notice him too much which is fine for a tough road match up.

Great win and well deserved 2 points.

Also, Fiala has 28 points now, with 20 being assists. Has he ever played center, because he looks like he could. I thought his stats would trend the opposite of that with us.

I was referencing when he tried to backhand the puck out of the defensive zone and could not clear the blueline. He had a forward 8' away that had zero pressure. That gaffe led to the Iafallo hooking penalty due to Durzi not taking the easy route by passing to an open forward up the boards to clear the zone. Overall, he played a good game. Like I said, I love his tape to tape passing in the offensive zone.

Congratulations to the following posters who correctly guessed a total of 5 or 1 or 1 for the first through third periods respectively:

First 5 goals (1 point):

Second 1 goal (1 point):
Chateau Bow Wow

Third 1 goal (1 point):
TooCool
KHenry14
kopinator
Bill Hicks

Compared to the butt whooping that Ottowa laid on the kings that they were lucky to sneak a point on the back of the power play this was a far more satisfying result. AI looked good out there. Team really worked for Copley. Far more stiffer challenge coming with Toronto, hopefully the boys are interested in it. For now will gladly take the points, its amazing how they're still so effective against the east coast teams. They're going to have to be if they can't figure out the pacific foes.
