Saw this the other day, thought it was pretty good. Christian Bale and Melissa Leo were outstanding. Didn't think the movie was great though, certainly not in the same class as Raging Bull or Million Dollar Baby
I haven't seen this movie yet but I'm glad to see that Melissa Leo is still doing great work and getting acknowledged for it. I loved her when she was on Homicide.
Since this has turned into a defacto HOMICIDE RULES thread...I have rewatched on the box set(cannot recommend highly enough), and that show was so far ahead of it's time. I hear how the Wire was this tremendous show, and it was good...but the praise that The Wire gets should have been lavished on Homicide instead. The whole cast was tremendous. Friggin Belzer has been milking Detective Munch for 20 some odd years now. Great trivia question...how many shows has that character appeared on??? Hell, I don't know.
Homicide > The Wire.
Me too! Sgt. Kaye Howard was my favorite character on the show. Homicide's definitely one of my all time favorite tv series, way better than CSI and most of the other crappy police dramas on tv these days.

Homicide > The Wire.
I think they both deserve a lot of acclaim. Shouldn't come as too much of a surprise that David Simon, creator of The Wire, worked as a producer and writer on Homicide.
As far as your question goes, I know he's been on almost all the Law and Order spawns, and I'm pretty sure he was in an episode of Arrested Development. I don't know what other stuff he's been in, I'm sure there's more.
It was the best show ever.
Sorry Homicide fans...
lol, hard to compare a gritty crime show with a witty comedy
But really, the best show in history is probably Rome
rome was good, but at only two seasons it's hard to compare. Titus pullo rules!!!!
