Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Yes, I enjoy childrens movies....frequently. I haven't had a chance to read the books, I'm sure they are better. This movie was entertaining although the main character Greg, is an *******. I was surprised they allowed a kid so young to act like a douchebag.

Get Him to the Greek

Russel Brand is annoying and gross. Jonah Hill was kinda bland in this movie. It had funny parts, but I think the best part about the movie was P. Diddy.

The Blind Side

I thought this movie was sweet and uplifting. I don't like football but I love movies with football in it. I think Adgy is crazy acting like a Sandra Bullock movie is the worst thing in the world, I thought she was great in this.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

It's been a while since I read the book so I have no idea about the movie's accuracy. It seemed like they had to cut chunks out but that's understandable because the book was huge. I stopped watching the Potter movies after the 4th one because I thought it was boring but I enjoyed this one. I liked the music a lot, I thought it was better than Patrick Doyle's score.

I also tried watching "Up in the Air" but I couldn't get through it. Why are George Clooney movies so damn boring? (Excluding the crap Batman movies.)

I must be the only person in the world who thought Get Him to the Greek was entertaining. I originally thought it looked about as appealing as plumbers a$$crack, but I watched it on HBO(?) and I really enjoyed it. Sure, I had NO/LOW expectations...but I found myself laughing. Thought Brand was good as an addict. Charming and threatening and and manically bipolar. Diddy was pretty funny too. Too much Jonah Hill barf though. Pat smarmy ending but still some good stuff in between.

Yes, there was a lot of Jonah Hill barf...looked like he was eating a lot of rice or something. Heh. I also forgot to mention that I thought the stuff with Rose Byrne was entertaining, esp the music videos.

Oh yeah I almost forgot!

Yeah I watched Sex in the City 2. I know it was bad , I definitely liked the first one better but...I can't help wanting to watch the movies. I'd never want to watch the tv series and I am so not into fashion and that crap either. I think I just like the female camaraderie.

I will say though, Carrie Bradshaw is an annoying petty bitch that has to fall on her ugly ass face to learn her lesson each time. I watched this movie in HD and damn, they shouldn't get too close to Sarah Jessica Parker. That chick is looking ROUGH these days.

she looks like a tranny. Or better yet, Lady looks like a Dude.

I thought Get Him To The Greek was moderately entertaining. As much as I hate to say it, P Diddy was funny pretty much any time he was on screen. I don't really care much for Russell Brand, but he has his moments sometimes. I don't care if I never see it again, but I didn't hate it.

I, too, didn't hate Get Him to the Greek. Not a movie I'll watch again, but it had its moments. Went off the rails for me at the end, but up until then I enjoyed it. And, yeah, Diddy was hilarious.

Was watching this this morning...such an odd flick. Too adult to be a kids fairytale, and yet veers into kiddie stuff too often for it to be strictly for adults. The Tangerine Dream(I assume) score don't help much either. It's like an 80's disco fairytale.
But man oh man, the makeup work by the, sadly M.I.A., Rob Bottin is awesome, and Tim Curry, once again, is worth the price of admission. Plus, there is some satisaction seeing Tom Cruise poncing about as a Pan-like forest creature(horribly miscast).

The first 2/3 of this movie is really slow and a little boring, although it has some great cinematography. Then the last 1/3 gets all crazy and pretty awesome.

A strange movie. The pacing and style took me a little while to get the hang of, and the ADR was off and the sound was pretty bad, but once I get used to it, it turned out to be a pretty damn good flick.

Based on the true story of a couple who went around swindling single ladies, stealing their money and killing them. It's not a very violent movie and both of the characters are pretty damn unlikable, but for some reason they were kind of... magnetic. Good use of black and white and solid performances (mostly).

I should mention that I watched this on cable and I have no idea if the Criterion DVD was at all able to fix the sound problems. I hope so. But the movie was clearly very low budget and it wouldn't surprise me if that was just the way it was made.

You forgot that there's a lot of screaming and incredibly ugly women in it.

Perhaps one of the most hilariously miscast movies of all time featuring Liberace being involved in a love triangle...with TWO WOMEN??? You also knew that he was in trouble when he had to step away from the piano and actually had to act... The Razzie Guide didn't do this one justice...but it was pretty close...

The movie was "Sincerely Yours"...

Just saw "The Limey" again, after about ten years. Great flick. Originally meant to cast Michael Caine in the title role, but I think it would be too similar to "Get Carter" if Caine was the lead. Soderberg used footage from a thirty-year-old movie starring Stamp for flashback shots, a very cool move I've never seen before. An unheralded movie well worth putting in your Netflix cue.

Stamp>Caine if you ask me...know most will disagree. They use that same old movie flashback gag in Goldmember, ironically for Michael Caine.

Saw this again this morning. The director, Edward Zwick, makes beautiful movies about war and it's consequences(this and Glory). Great performances...say what you want about T.C., but dude is a helluva an actor. The premise is a bit shaky, but it's just so good it's hard to complain. Hey Adgy, when you watch this do you fantasize that it's you in the Cruise part???:15smile: B.T.W. Watanabe is a badass, so is Hiroyuki Sanada.
