Last Movie Watched

Well, maybe you'll like it. I wasn't familiar with the story at all before going to the movie (was it a book or comic, or what?), but to me, it just seemed really lacking. I do think if you are interested, it's worth checking out, if nothing else for the novelty and watching a rotoscoped RDJ. It's surreal.

Silly Foof, it's based on a Phillip K. Dick book. :)

Definitely planning on seeing it, though. Probably wait until it gets a wide release, though.

I saw Strangers With Candy last night.

LOVED IT. ****ing hilarious. Great show, great movie, Stephen Colbert and Amy Sedaris rule the universe with an iron fist.

Just saw Wassup Rockers...

Since it's the same director who did Kids, I expected something shocking. The only things that were really shocking were many raaaaaandom ass, completely un-needed scenes that started getting piled on during the end (***SPOILERS INSIDE THIS BRACKET**** such as a man whose we're supposed to assume is Charlton Heston blowing some kids brains out, or the drunk lady who somehow manages to pull a chandelier into a bath tub and electrocutes herself****SPOILERS DONE*****). This is the type of movie that badly needed to have no plot, but instead of doing a true day-in-the-life-of movie, it kept toying with needless, inane, and occasionally stupid plot. Over all, not disappointed I saw it, but wouldn't recommend it or see it again.

Saw 'A Scanner Darkly' last night, and I liked it quite a bit. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the rotoscoping going in, but I think it actually added to the movie quite a bit.

Plus, I don't particularly care for Keanu Reeves, Winona Ryder, Robert Downey Jr., or Woody Harrelson, but none of them bothered me at all in this movie. Gotta be the rotoscope.

And the soundtrack was excellent.

Saw Clerks for the 1st time in anticipation on the sequel coming out...and I was only 12 years late on the first one.

superman returns... really enjoyed it except lois lane. thought someone else could have fit the role better. other than that great movie, spacey is awesome

Saw Lady in the Water. Really liked it. I love all of M. Night's movies. He's got a great visual eye and the structures of his stories are amazing. Not really any sort of bit twist or reveal, but a lot of suspense and humor. Good message in the story as well, pretty obvious the current war heavily influenced him, as moments of the war are all over the tvs in the film. If you go into the movie realizing the fairy tale aspect you will appreciate it more, in my opinion. Otherwise parts can seem a bit silly.

Saw My Super Ex-Girlfriend last night. It was a fun little flick, nothing earth shattering. But the best part about it? Dr. Bedlam... EDDIE IZZARD! He should have had a bigger part though.

Saw A Scanner Darkly...interesting movie. Enjoyed it. Figured out things before they happened, but nevertheless, thought it was well done.

Grandma's Boy. Terrible. And I smoke weed. A lot. And it was just...terrible. Not funny at all. Wow, they're smoking weed. Hilarious. No. Terrible.

Saw The Descent today. It was decent but I wasn't as impressed as apparently all of the 4 star reviewers were.
