If the Kings lose 8 of the next 10 games do you REALLY think fans are still going to be happy just because they fired the coach 3 weeks prior? Winning makes fans happy, which was my point.

I am happy that the Kings did something to try and right the ship. If the ship continues to take on water that happiness will very quickly fade away.

I agree about the management part, the only way this PLD trade works for me is if PLD plays the way we were told he would. 2nd line center with upside, possible 1st line center. AND..... the Kings make some serious noise in the playoffs over the next 2 years. The way I see it, 3 years from now there is a very good chance that we will see a significant decline in performance from both Kopi and Drew. They could be anchors on this team taking up 20% of the cap. This team has a small window IMO.

On top of that, this team's prospect pool is looking weak and the Kings already traded away their 2nd and 3rd round picks for this year. Blake has made moves to be "All In" and this team has been hanging on by a thread. I sure hope that Hiller can get things going ASAP.
 
IDK what's worse at this point, missing the playoffs or losing to Edmonton in the first again. I think the latter. I will say I think our suck fest™ started exactly when edmonton's winning streak started, and we play them next so - that's something.

Yes, he has been a head coach, but not in the NHL. Anyway, you do recall the Kings fired Sutter? That ship has sailed.

Um, WTF? Just because I do not think Sutter is the answer and I am trying to be optimistic of Hiller and this team? This team could have easily been .500 over the last 18 games and sitting pretty in 2nd or 3rd in the division. They had a few awful games and many awful moments, I will grant you that. Are you trying to imply that I would be my fault if the Kings continue to suck?

Ok, let me ask you this. What did Todd need to do different to get more wins out of this last stretch? For sure you have sugggestions, or all of answeres. Please speak up and let us know your thoughts.

Which is fine. You could also make the very same claim about all 32 teams in the NHL, and guess what.. you’d be right in 31 of 32 instances. Alas, there are very few things in life with absolute guarantees, and professional sports isn’t one of them.
