I unironically and ununapologetically enjoy 1986's "Howard the Duck."

[edit] I corrected second word from "ironically" to unironically." The apparent typo was due to my original post using a smartphone, which may have led to an unintended meaning. I genuinely enjoy that movie.

Happy Howard the duck day

This is an odd category, films like Braveheart, patriot and to an extent gladiator were huge blockbusters and over time are still rollicking fun but the historical context and possibly some of the activities of the films stars do put it into that guilty pleasure category I think.

Would have been the greatest Drive In triple feature.

and these are just silly movies. I kinda think Patriot is a 'between the cracks movie'. Yeah, it was popular...But as Jammer mentions...CONTEXT. Sad that we have to re analyze stuff in light of time. These movies I posted, have a LOT of stuff that would be judged differently in the current social climate. And all they are is harmless comedies.

Come to think of it, doesn't "Three Men and a Baby" feature murder and drugs?

Has Skyscraper been out of the spotlight long enough that we can put it in here? I mean formulaic The Rock movie destined to be a younger generations 90s action movie. What makes it a true guilty pleasure for me is Neve absolutely stealing hearts again. That is one childhood crush that keeps maturing.

When was the last time any of you watched Johnny B Good?

Look at that cast! Robert Downey Jr was a sidekick? Uma Thuman? I'm kinda dying to see this again because I can feel the cheese flow. I'm pretty sure this movie will either have aged so terribly that its somehow a referendum on today or it's perfect in all aspects about everything that was wrong with the world and still is.

Exhibit A: last night after showing Mrs jammer Deadpool 2 she said, "so Deadpools like the Hudson Hawk of comic book movies right?"

I didn't have an argument against it.
