Now join me as I bring in kitten jugglers, baby duck wranglers and a man named Jimothy to the Staples Center for in-game entertainment and no one will ever know how bad the product on the ice is as they complain mercilessly about Jimothy’s...well everything!!! (Evil laughter quickly followed by)

Execute Order 66. Our plan to unveil a Mario Lemieux statue in the plaza. The WTF on LGK will quickly erase the thoughts of last nights 6-1 defeat to the Kraken.

we are in 306. the yotes gm was terrible wrt the "army".

At least the Kings were winning during the Jay Flats tenure. Hokey entertainment ain't so bad when the team is advancing in the playoffs.
 
I get what you peeps are saying on the other hand this thread makes me feel like some want the pre-game and intermission entertainment to be like this...

I think we all want a rocking Staples experience. But we also want legitimate crowd noise. Not the Poochie version.

Very annoying. Complained at guest services and they moved us to 320. It would not be too bad if it was just occasional, but its non stop. Even on the other side of staples u can hear the banging drums. Texted rep, hopefully we can get moved.

They (for some mind-numbing reason) want to bring soccer (football) culture ie...supporters groups to NHL games.

WHY? That is the question. Nobody wanted it. It's a fish out of water element when it comes to hockey.

(enter the peeps that say some euro hockey clubs do this stuff).....this is the NHL.


Supporters groups for USMNT, USWNT, MLS clubs......absolutely!
NHL hockey, absolutely not!

The Royal Jesters should go away....Luc should have told them no thank you. (but Luc does a lot of dumb things)
 
OPENING NIGHT (older fan) REVIEW:

The Royal Army needs to be disbanded. Loud, obnoxious, flag waving, unintelligible chants. Far worse than pre-season. Ex: "Nah nah nah nah hey hey hey...GO KINGS" over and over again. Reminded me of the usc band that plays the same some over & over again.

Guitar Solo Guy: New feature - plays a solo in between periods 1 & 2. Can do without unless Springsteen, Foo Fighters or Carlos Santana is involved.

Break Dancers: Electric Bugaloo anyone? Flashback to Adidas sweats, this dance crew "entertained" the crowd during a break....give me a break

Dancers in Silver Jackets: Are pom poms next?

Karaoke: Really?

The new PA announcer: who is EITHER the same dude from the Ducks or an exact duplicate. "L.A. KINGS...GOOOOOOAL" is exactly like "ANAHEIM DUCKS....GOOOOOOAL" (formally "MIGHTY DUCKS....GOOOAL")

TO SUM UP: The in game experience seems to have been created by college sophomores. It's forced - Copy Cat (Vegas style, Galaxy cheer group, Ducks goal announcements)
