The guy who is in charge of this 'entertainment' was on Fred Roggin's radio show Thursday and you could hear
the hipster in his voice. He was describing the sorts of 'non-stop fun' fans were going to have. Aside from the team
not being good enough to warrant the time, energy & money, these in game diversions are unnecessary. The constant barrage
of stimulation is too much. KISS Method always works!!

I found it utterly annoying from section 116. I think they need to pack the arena this season and somehow think this improves the fan experience. This is hockey, not soccer. I hope they wise up if they get enough complaints. GKG

Didn't they try to do something like this 10 or so years ago....set aside a section (or sections) for "standing fans" to be chanting/singing all game?

I've just unfollowed (not unfriended) 90% of the people I follow there. Still a good place for some things I'm interested in but yeah, a very divisive piece of social media...but what isn't?

I'll be there Saturday & Sunday (BTW - I have an extra for Saturday) but from what I've read - they have yet to duplicate the soccer noise-a-thon they had for Home Game #1 vs Vegas.

However - the Kings are 0-7 since they've been disbanded...so.....

UPDATE - It appears that the Royal Army is a thing of the past.

The 2 weekend games: Two Drums - half harded banging "Go Kings Go" - flags gone...chants gone. Even the table along the 300 concourse pimping the swag has disappeared.

It has died.

It didn't work.

Hockey is a fast paced sport - it doesn't need time filler songs & chants. No one see the waving flags except for the poor fans behind this section.

RIP Royal Army

The end should have been Saturday when after the HABS scored, their fans started chanting Go Habs Go...and then the royal army started drumming right along with them to give them a nice beat for their chant. Oooof.
