***New York Rangers vs. Los Angeles Kings GDT 1/20/24 7:30pm on KCAL Ch9***

I know it's just one game but I see nothing to indicate Fagemo is an NHL player.
You will see, if he ever gets time on the power play. He will be a good fit for the bumper position, to get off quick shots. In fact, I’d try Fiala there as well, and keep him away from the halfwall or anywhere drifting back towards the blue line, to discourage his lackadaisical turnovers he always commits trying to go point to point at the offensive blue line.

It’s hard to believe Mikey Anderson is only 24. This guy is really just scratching the surface of how good he’s going to be.
I think his play tonight disproves Nyssa’s theory that he’s been playing hurt. Maybe ill, but most likely just stunted by defensive minded shackles. Tonight, he looked like an NHL player, unfettered by systematic hindrances. ‘Green light’

80-11-9 have no connection at all. Just individual plays that end up going nowhere.
80 and 11 both seem to have that quality where they struggle to fit with talented wingers, and it’s doubly bad when they’re together. It has been Kopi’s MO forever, and PLD seems to be cut from the same unfortunate cloth. Since I’m donning the coaching mantle with my posts this evening, here’s the obvious play. Keep 11 and 9 together, but toss Lizotte on that line with them when he returns(if it happens soon). His frenetic energy will draw Kopi into the fray. Toss 80 in with the grinders, it couldn’t be any worse. He has no business being a center, he can barely deliver the mail, unless he just lowers his shoulder and drives the net, but he doesn’t have the hands to finish any of those bull rushes, so maybe trash pickers like Lewis will find an occasional bone.

quick interview was brutal - "what video? they do videos all the time, idk" glad to see he's still quick tho. i'll say blake did him wrong to dead air but hey i can't help it.
Dude's social skills have never been one of his best traits. Local press hated having to get soundbites from him. I also cannot blame him for feeling this way, but you saw it in his eyes. You knew he did everything he could to not watch, but he was touched.

that's why we love em. he's there to win hockey games. i noticed he tried to avoid the video as much as possible but i felt he was applauding the fans reaction more so after. i do hope he gets his number in the rafters when he hangs it up. can't tell if there's resentment there but.. idk. glad we only play them twice a year.

It does beg the question though, if the Kings org want to honor him with jersey retirement or statue, will he accept the invitation? That interview was.. chilly.
my kinda thoughts - like would he say no? I mean even if he didn't get shafted I'd maybe think he'd say no.. lol. his post trade one was pretty bad (interview) too, obviously. this one was definitely ice cold but they always were.

Just got back from watching the Reign game earlier. It's unfortunate they lost to the Firebirds: the Reign got off to a good start in the 1st by scoring two goals, then they eased up and let the Firebirds score 3 unanswered goals as the periods have gone by, culminating in an ENG dagger for Coachella around 40 seconds before the end of the 3rd to make it 4-2 and end the game. How the Reign played that game and choked it away was awfully reminiscent of the Kings in one of the road games during their most recent trip.

So, the Kings won and beat the Jonathan Quick-fronted Rangers. That's good to hear, 'cause Todd and company have had pretty bad spells of uninspired hockey as of late, not helped by that grueling six game road trip from earlier.

No doubt. We all know he was not being honest in that interview. You cannot ignore 17k. fans cheering you. If you can, you are dead inside. He just wants to win and if he is mad at Blake, he has every right.
