Impressive win, not only against a very strong and red hot Hurricanes team, but against their own doubts as well. The Kings had gut-check moments in the 3rd, giving up the Canes 2nd goal and then the late penalty, but survived both. Rittich needs more starts (maybe not tomorrow, but on the upcoming home stand).

I was at the game today (320 K 9). It was my first time seeing a live NHL game since 2008. Glad to see the Kings win live again!

One very encouraging fact from today - 6 points from the defensemen! That kind of contribution from the blue line guys is huge! Gavrikov, Anderson and Roy each with 2 assists! Nice!

Breaking an 8 game losing streak with a win in Carolina is a signature win imo. Nobody was expecting the Kings to score 5 goals today.

The fans were very vocal when Perets came in. Deep in their goalie depth chart, but they knew of him. Carolina has had a lot of injuries with their goalies this year, but so did Vegas last year though.
