Phil Danault - Called in Sick against the Flames? Asked for a trade? UPDATE: TRADED

The only problem with Schenn is that he's not exactly stellar offensively this season. 14 in 38 with 16+TOI. He'd get from one offensively challenged team to another. Doesn't scream like "I'm fixing your team's offensive woes as yoir 3nd line center".

If we're to overpay for someone, I'd rather it be O'Reilly or maybe even Stamkos...

I think we need to come to the understanding that while Luc is in charge and Hiller is the coach, offensive stats don’t matter. Management has an archetype in mind and if the player meets their criteria stats are almost irrelevant.

O'Rielly I can't argue with, he's good, consistent and probably has a few seasons left. Schenn, though, would just be lunicy to pay high for (makes sense for a team planning to make a deep playoff run which lacks vet leadership, but not for the Kings).

I agree that I'd also rather see Stamkos coming over - a proven goal scorer who also has vet experience. Nashville would have to eat a good portion of his contract, however.

Nashville is pushing for a playoff spot, though, so right now I do not see why they would trade either unless the return is too good to be true.
