***Playoffs Round 1 Game 3 Edmonton Oilers vs. LA Kings 7:00pm on BSSC & TBS***

This series has quickly gone from being about winning to being about getting experience. They're just too good when they try hard.

I don?t think Kings are even remotely intimidated tbh.

There is a significant gap in special teams. Edmonton scares no one 5 on 5. Just don?t give them man advantage or 4 on 4.

oh goody, pp for Kings, they're always so soooper good with those

If the refs are going to call a lot of penalties, it really hurts us. The Kings have to play tight defensive hockey. If you have to worry about getting whistled every time you touch your opponent, how can you do that?

You're always gonna have this problem in SoCal. When you play in a place that has 50,000 transplants from every other **** town in North America, it's easy to get 10,000 ****sville natives to track down tickets to a playoff game. And basically everywhere that isn't LA is ****sville.

Truer words have never been written.

I?m so glad I set the alarm clock at 04 on a saturday morning (lives in Sweden) to watch this?

Oh well, still a long way to go! GKG!!!

Oh, I don't think the Kings are intimidated. They're just not as good.

I'm really happy with the way the Kings' season went, but they made the playoffs largely by beating teams that either aren't in the playoffs or play in the East. The Oilers are neither. They're like the baseball team that builds a good regular season record by beating up on fourth and fifth starters, and you don't face fourth and fifth starters in the playoffs.

The special teams gap totally flipped this series.

And man do we miss Arvidsson. He?s one of the few forwards we have that is dangerous on every shift with his tools and shot.

That's a good way to describe it. I see the Oilers as a team that's all offense, no defense and goaltending. But when they win they look impressive because of all the offense. And they're playing a Kings team that is missing their best defensive player. So it speaks volumes really.

Nobody in front of the net. Ever.

I sound like a broken record...
I sound like a broken record...
I sound like a broken record...
I sound like a broken record...

...but the lack of big bodies are a real problem with this team.

Big bodies or big balls.. we lack both.

Maybe I?m just not as high on the oilers as others. I find them to be like the one trick pony type team that relies on McJesus heroics. They are (using another sports analogy) very James Harden Houston Rockets to me.

But like you said the Kings anemic offensive threat and horrible PP on top of that is basically the difference.

Kings will have to address offensive game breaker/production area. They can grind with the best of them but their finish is severely lacking.

hahaha, Bob Miller is going to wish he'd just stayed at home and watched this mess on tv instead of attending this disaster

Lizotte has been the best player for the kings. Dude has really developed.

It?s pretty bad that we are at home now and struggling to get Danault/Moore on McDavid line lol. I mean come on Todd, don?t let your protege play you like that!

Gabe goes right to the front, and immediately draws a penalty
