I'm sorry, but The Cure & Echo & the Bunnymen are not post punk. Don't get me wrong, I really do love those bands, but they're not post punk. If you want to argue that new wave is a form of post punk, okay. But I don't think it is.

first of all, i knew jonah and kevin were buds but i had not yet seen them performing that together.
second of all, i never really took the time to get into 7 seconds so i never realized that was originally a 7 seconds song. then i looked at my OLD sketchy EP #2 and saw the lyric credits. ha!
nice!

guess what? so revelation records' distro/mail order office is relatively close to me. if i want to buy a record, shirt, what have you, i usually send them a message and then drop by to pick up the merch. i got this for my dog and they liked my pic enough to use it on their site. makes me happy to see my pup on a site i like to support:

Judge is playing in the oc soon. Judge was great in their prime. They could have sick of it all part deux. Mike became a hippy instead.
 
Here's a documentary of why Judge broke up a year after they started. A year later & I was done with the SxE scene as well. Scene got stale & the message was lost with the new kids coming into the scene.



Here's the reunion show from earlier this year. If any of you are going, this what you can expect.

 
i wanted to go, but
1) i'm too old for those kind of shows.
2) my daughter is still getting used to going to preschool so she's been waking up at night again and it's my job to check on her so no shows for me until she's back to normal.

i was never straight edge anyway. i like meat, booze and the occasional cigarette too much.

To me, it was more about being positive, sober & the music. I wasn't a vegetarian either. When I was 17, I worked at in-n-out, for crying out loud.
