It's a common mistake. They almost cast Mick Mars for the role.First off I apologize, I honestly thought your Avatar was Mick Mars from Motley Crue.

Around early mid summer in Florida, the temp is in the mid 90’s,but the humidity between 90-100% is what drains you(so to speak)Plus, they have no see um’s(insects that bite and/or sting you,and leave before you know what hit you). The absolute worst, with Texas not too far behind.
Yeah, why come here when you can play/live in NYC, Chicago, St. Louis, Dallas, Philadelphia, Boston St. Paul, Seattle etc and all the other leagues garden spots. The question is not why do UFAs not want to come here. The question is why would they?
- For all Euros, and most Canadians, the geographic location puts them considerably further away from home.
- Taxes and cost of living are high
- This is not a "hockey culture" city. Hockey is very much an afterthought. For many players who grew up in places where hockey is life, it's a big turnoff.
- LA does not have a reputation as a safe or family friendly city in the outside world and it seems particularly true in hockey circles. Gavrikov talked about being worried about his family when he was traded. The bus ride to Crypto does not help counter that perception at all.
- All those things could be overcome to a large extent if the team was going deep every season, but they haven't gone to the 2nd round in 11 years. For a lot of players, that was when they were kids. Ancient, dusty history.
Sounds like someone has either a) never been to Chicago or b) for some reason spent their whole trip in the 20 block area where much of the violence occurs. Lived here 25 years. Have never spent one second being afraid of the violence in Chicago. It's a big city issue. Chicago and DC are awful in terms of violence.
I thought that was Joyce DeWitt for a second!
With Boo Boo Blake gone, I can actively (instead of passively) root for the Los Angeles Kings again.
*laughing* fantastic. 10/10 no notes.First off I apologize, I honestly thought your Avatar was Mick Mars from Motley Crue. Won't happen again sista!
Should we be watching the Toyota Sports Center for white smoke?I might be interested in the job if I don't get the Pope thing.
Just listen for the fire truck sirensShould we be watching the Toyota Sports Center for white smoke?
This is why we have no friends. Period. lol.

Thanks. I actually came to that realization shortly after my post. The franchise looks like it needs new ownership. Hopefully, one that is actually passionate about hockey and not interested in using the organization as an ends to a means. You know...such as building a brand new arena downtown to host professional sports teams including the one they own along with concerts and other events as a vehicle to revitalize the surrounding area with a plethora of profitable real-estate development projects.I'd wait for the hire if I were you...it's still the same people hiring the GM.
Yep, I could see that. You better make sure the Kings agree to let you work from home too. In person work is so 2019.I might be interested in the job if I don't get the Pope thing.
I'm here to educate!*laughing* fantastic. 10/10 no notes.
I chose the avatar because I knew it would not be sexualized but did not have the foresight to see the pendulum swing all the way to Mick Mars. I've learned something today. Thank you, Earl. lol.
