I just saw Jon Cooper question the winning goal. He did not say what it was that he was referring to. I have NO IDEA what it was....curious....

Thanks for the clarification.

To me the Avs player (McKinnon?) did not affect the play. Much like a "ticky tack" offsides when the team keeps the puck in the zone for a minute before scoring only to have the play called back.

I'm glad Cooper "loves the NHL" and all that BS. It's the best way to speak so as to not get fined by Bettman.

Seems like a non issue that people are trying to make into one...the only challenge might be that MacKinnon was going off for Kadri who is in the center with the puck and MacKinnon still isn't off. This seems to happen all the time and didn't effect the outcome.

Watching the whining, douchebag laden, classless winners and pissy losers lose was beautiful.
They got away with abusing 2 refs (Maroon & Stamkos), Bellemare dove after holding the stick then cried about it
Kucherov acting like a spolied brat etc... and Perry can SUCK A D, again.

And no more having to hear Cooper pontificate like he's allknowing from on high.

Yes, i'M HAMMERED. Wanna fight about it?? hashahahassahs

Seriously! Tampa whined and complained about almost EVERY call/non-call. What a bunch of classless bitches, they deserved to lose. Conversely, the Avs are a classy bunch that deserved to lift the Cup this year.

So happy for the Avs. They built their franchise the right way, from the ground up, and players like MacKinnon, Landeskog, etc. more than deserve to have their names on the Cup. But, I'm especially happy for Erik and Jack Johnson, particularly Jack. Indirectly, in being part of the Carter trade in 2012, he helped the Kings win two cups. That meant a trip to exile for him (Columbus, at the time), but now he has his name on the Cup. Yes, he's won it as part of the Avalanche, but I also feel he's part of the Kings as well.

When the Avs destroyed us in April, I predicted the Avs would won the Cup. Not exactly going out on a limb, but nonetheless, I made the call that day. Just a solid all-around team, from top to bottom, no glaring weaknesses.

Stan Kroenke is having a heck of a year. In February his Rams won the Super Bowl, and five months later his Avs (technically owned by his wife Ann, the Wal-Mart heiress, but it's his team) hoist the Cup.

Must be nice. Two major sports trophies in less than six months...a net worth of 10.5 billion dollars...and a wife worth 62.3 billion.

But back to our Kings...

...taking the Oilers to seven games has to be encouraging. We're closer than I thought. Next year should give us a good indication how much progress we've made. If we can add some size to go with our speed, I like our chances.

In the meantime, on the bright side, at least Perry and Kane weren't skating around with the Cup last night. So I call it a win-win year.

And Cory Perry didn't. Such a shame.

Yeah, pulling for JMFJ the whole way here....good for him.

Very happy for Jack Johnson. Without him I don't think we win the Cup. I still can't believe we traded him straight-up for Carter (plus a conditional first-rounder). Life is weird. But good for Jack. Nice to see the Good Guys win.

Like I was saying. :) However, these two teams are too evenly matched for this to over in less than 6 games. Don't be at all surprised if there's a game 7.

I might be going out on a limb; however, I will be more than surprised if there is a game 7.

Remember when Craig Button skewered the Kings for trading Johnson for Carter and creating a hole on their D? Completely oblivious to the fact that the Kings had an up and coming wife beater…I mean…Voynov waiting in the wings.

Agreed with everyone here. Really happy for JJ. Especially after what his parents did.

How about if we can add some SCORING to our speed?? We need our speed guys to put the biscuit in the basket once in a while or we're still not gonna compete with the Avs & Oilers. And, a PPG once every couple of games would be nice, too.....

"Large Nose" didn't know what he was talking about. Whatever the case, maybe JJ will ban his parents from his Cup day this summer? Unlikely but they'd deserve it.
