Superman v Batman/DC movies

Sorry... "todays horrible modern world" really doesn't seem sufficiently abundant in new existential terrors to have made hope, goodness and purity obsolete.

If anything human progress since the introduction of costumed super heroes is a reason to more fully embrace those qualities.

Don't take this the wrong way...but for someone who wants more optimism and hope...your tone seems, in my opinion, a little intense. Like you are only allowing for one opinion, yours.

And I think that the times you speak of, people in general had more HOPE. And more people were concerned about everyone instead of just being caught up in their own narcissistic social media profile. As technology has made the world a smaller place, I don't think it's translated into a WE mentality. We live in a ME society, filled with cynicism.
 
My non-spoiler review: poorly written, poorly edited, poor use of music, hackneyed at its worst points, has a good heart, though. It's better than Batman and Robin, but what isn't? Seems much more like Batman's movie than Superman's, which is just fine. It is unnecessarily complicated at points. Many of the worst moments of the film seem due to fan service.

I can see this getting a mixed response. I'm not sure whether I liked Man of Steel or this better, but I think at least Man of Steel had its own unapologetic perspective, so in this respect, I agree with jd's speculation.

Thanks brother, but specifically? Cause, admittedly, I have been kinda all over the place on this one. Fighting wars on too many fronts perhaps. I never was a very good RISK player.

Specially, on the front that if you stick to your creative guns, you will inherently make a more interesting product. While, for better or worse, Man of Steel does this, Batman vs Superman seemed to make some concessions that were a wildly mixed bag ranging from great to unforgivable. So, there is the possibility in my mind that Man of Steel might be the better (granted, based only on my hazy recollections of it). I'm not sure I want to watch either again to verify.
 
Spot-On Review

I totally agree with this reviewer calling out Zack Snyder for not actually loving the characters. His previous comments for both Man of Steel and Batman v. Superman shows that he's so concerned with both characters being cliches that he misses the point of what they represent.

Without getting into spoilers, there have been rumors floating that several cast members did not get along well with Stephen Amell that has lead to several actors leaving the show.

Yeah, I'm pissed. I didn't even LIKE Laurel that much but wtf???? Sara died so Laurel could become the Black Canary and then they just killed Laurel anyway because who cares. And she got the WORST death. Not on her terms, not saving someone or doing something heroic...she died for other characters to have manpain. This show is so dumb.
 
In all honesty, Arrow has been going downhill fast without a brake for several seasons now. I now FFWD through Eps and watch only what I think needs to be watched. The soap-opera stuff has been absolute garbage but that's a CW staple, right?

That will probably be another common theme from here on out. But really it's kind of Diggle's fault for being so naive right?

At least they haven't killed off felicity or laurel's dad......yet..
