So the rumors were true.
Gut punch to send him across town. Ugh!

Sanabria is confirmed.
Perhaps this is why Delgado is gone.

Almost the entire midfield is essentially replaced.

Man I hope Reus has the wheels for the first half of the season until Puig comes back.

So IIRC, Delgado was +$800k salary....so how much cap relief will the G's get?

Midfield of: Reus, Sanabria, Cerillo, Davis, Parente, Lepley.

3 starters - one being "fragile" and 3 subs that are a SIGNIFICANT drop off from the starters.
One injury, or required early substitution away from calamity.

My hope is Kuntz has got to be cook'n something...need more midfield reinforcement.

Still seem light on the wings as well, with Fagundez really being the only option if Pec or Paintsil can't go.

Still need to finalize the CB's.

Also, any word on Nelson?

More turn-over this year than I anticipated. I know its MLS, but ugggh!

Mark will be the first guy to go from Chivas USA to Galaxy to LAFC.

Word on the street is that LAFC has already raised a "Welcome Back Home" banner for Mark.

LOS ANGELES (Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025) – The LA Galaxy today announced that the club has acquired $200,000 in 2025 General Allocation Money (GAM) and $200,000 in 2026 GAM in exchange for midfielder Mark Delgado.

USL young player of the year.......could be substantial upside if he develops well.

Is Elijah Wynder on his way to the Los Angeles Galaxy? Transfermarkt understands that Louisville City and MLS Cup winners LA Galaxy are in talks for a potential transfer. Those talks are positive but far from being done. Louisville City anticipate a transfer fee that could make Wynder the second most expensive player in club history

The current record is held by Elijah’s brother Joshua Wynder. Louisville sold the defender in a deal worth more than €1m to Portuguese powerhouse Benfica during the 2023/24 season. Now his brother could become the next major player sale in Louisville’s club history.

Hope we don't need to use a U22 spot for him.

Cobi Jones getting his statue in Legends Plaza!

Cobi Jones will join former teammates Landon Donovan and David Beckham in Legends Plaza at Dignity Health Sports Park next season with the team commissioning a larger-than-life bronze statue of the U.S. Soccer Hall of Famer, who scored the first goal in franchise history in 1996.

“It still hasn’t sunk in,” Jones said. “It’s such an honor. It’s almost a validation.
“I may be the third one, [but] I probably won’t be the last one. I’m going to relish it.”

A 9-foot statue of Beckham was placed in Legends Plaza, outside the main entrance of Dignity Health Sports Park, before the Galaxy’s season opener in 2019. It was joined by a bronze likeness of Donovan late in the 2021 season. The Galaxy said the Jones’ statue will be consistent with the first two, sculpted by artists Omri Amrany and Jessica LoPresti, with the pose based on a photo chosen by Jones.

The unveiling of the Jones’ statue will also help mark the return of the World Cup to Southern California in 2026. Jones, the men’s national team’s all-time leader in appearances with 164, played in all four American games in the 1994 World Cup, the only previous tournament held in the U.S. Jones, 54, played in three World Cups overall, with his 11 appearances in the tournament ranking second on the all-time U.S. list.

Oh snap!

Tigres better back up the $$$ truck for Dejan....... otherwise with all the roster twisting and turning Kuntz has done to keep the remaining roster....I say no.

However, he is in the last year.....get $$$ for him or he walks....unless the G's are talking with him about a new contract.

$10M or more? :)

I wouldn't do it unless they already have a replacement lined up.

$10 mill....lol

My guess is Kuntz knew this could be a significant possibility that Dejan would be gone, so you know they have a list of players. What concerns me is what was all the roster gymnastics and moving players for?
I assumed it was to take care of Dejan. Why the Delgado move????

The reality is if Dejan goes, I assume again they pick up a U22 striker.
A U22 striker that is ready for starter minutes?!?!?! Where do you find that?....because that is exactly what the G's need. Berry is no starter. Barely a bench option.

U22 striker is going to take a season or more to get into the groove, and the G's need a starter now.

Kuntz better have a rabbit in his hat.

I mean does Dejan really want to move to an inferior league? :) I thought he might want to move to Europe if anything.

But yes if we end up with Berry as the striker, yikes.

Question is does Dejan have a choice? Depends on that $$$ truck from Tigres.

Last year of his contract....if he does not want to re-sign with the G's, Kuntz will/should take the $$ rather than walking away with nothing at the end of the season. It sucks, but that's business.

An NO....NO....NO way the G's start the season with Berry starting. We've seen that film before. It's not good.
Fagundez up top.....Paintsil up top....or a two striker formation with Berry as a last ditch "solution"....no way this dude starts in a 4-3-3 formation.

We already got the midfield blown-out this off season with the absence of Puig, Brugman, Delgado...no way Kuntz throws in the towel at the striker position.

What's the point of speedy wingers without a striker?
Not to mention our (presumed) 10 is a guy who is known for passing rather than shooting....and that's if he can go 90 minutes game after game.

Ugh!!!!

Come on Kuntz....!
