The good word on the street is that the G's reason for not wanting CR7 is not that he is washed, but rather the club believes that what happened in Vegas did not stay in Vegas, and they want no part of that for the club and the fans.

A) Cash grab tournament.

B) International supporters don't want to travel to US for the tournament....because....umm...yea

C) The League champions of the host country league is not in the tournament because.....FIFA

Well let's at least be realistic, that country beat Argentina in the group stage.

I don't consider Poch a take the money and run kind of guy having followed him since the spurs days. But, I think he might even be at a loss at what to do. Game planning is one thing, but the players the last 2 games have just looked awful. Gold Cup will be a trip. Then he has what maybe a couple friendlies where top starters will be called in?

I get the Donovan/Dempsey comments, but I also get Pulisic maybe not wanting to play in the Gold Cup and risk getting hurt again. Strange times.
