Another loss.
Defensive lapses. Disjointed midfield.
Same as it ever was.
G's breaking all sorts of team and league records......the bad sort of records.
Kuntz: Pull the plug. It's over. You have got to stop the bleeding. He was never your guy anyway.
This is getting beyond embarrassing for the club.

I got to see that in person! Definitely different perspective from watching on tv. You hit it on the head, midfield goes hot and cold. They don't look too bad then get completely beaten on a counter or a breakdown. Paintsill had some opportunities that really should've been taken better. I was watching Pec on and off the ball in the 2nd half and he looked ridiculously frustrated. I hope Yoshida can come back full time now.
I am of the opinion they might actually go the whole year without winning a game. Or at least until Puig comes back..
Also - Galaxy fans doing the puto chant?? Come on now we're better than that. 3 announcements made in the arena to stop it..

Did they do a giveaway of tickets to casuals or something?!?!? G's fans don't do that sh!t
I agree about getting a win.....and if that is the case, sit Puig for the whole season.
No need to risk him with this squad.
We can see the midfield is disjointed, and the defense has poor lapses, but the "quality" of this team should be able to get some decisions to go their way.....that's why I put a heavy amount of this on the coach.
Sure, Kuntz made some really poor acquisitions this offseason, but there is enough quality for a coach to get some wins.
Looking at Vanney's seasons with the G's, this season is beginning to more and more look like a regression to the mean, and last year's Cup win was the outlier.

70% possession. Few dangerous chances.
This system does not work without a wild card runner/dribbler like Puig.
When Puig went helter/skelter through the midfield with the ball everybody on both side of the ball had to move. It opened things up for quality chances. It works for Vanney ball.
With nobody creative to dribble or even run, the G’s just control the ball at a slow plodding pace. Opponents hold their line and clog the middle and the G’s stay flat footed. Nobody makes runs. Nobody gets in behind. It’s just pass across the field from one side to the other and back again.
Rarely a dangerous counterattack.
This system has taken its toll on Pec and Paintsil who really try to play hero ball, because the midfield and striker in this system is stagnant. Vanney ran them into the ground.

I’m so tired of Vanney and his team’s lack of basic defending in the box. It’s gone on for years.
How many times does the teamhave 5-6 players in the box only to have some ball watchers keep a single player completely unmarked?!?!?

Interesting.....but they have to fire Vanney first. From what I recall Wagner was a good coach. Hopefully they haven't done it yet as they're planning the options behind the scenes for once they do.
Depending on how ugly Sunday gets, and it could get very ugly, that might force the issue finally. Of course the games against LAFC are always wild so I also wouldn't be surprised if we get our first win.

As a G's fan that is gonna be so hard to live down. Chivas beats the G's so bad at home that the coach got fired. Chivas fans will never let that go. Such an embarrassment if that happens.
