The Avengers/Marvel movies

hurm...

Maybe, I am just in a bitchy mood today (I am, mind you), but that looks kinda me. *sigh*

Granted, I wasn't expecting it to be so stylized that it would look like a Jae Lee comic, but still...

Those EW photos always look like garbage. I will reserve judgement until i see clips of actual footage

NO SPOILERS TILL NEXT WEEKEND!!!!!!!

Welcome to the FIRST real comic book movie. Saw it in 3D Laser Imax...and so should you. It's beautiful. I literally oooohed and aaaaahed aloud. If you are a COMIC BOOK fan...from the real golden age, the 70's, this movie is so chock full of scenery that looks like a YES album brought to life(take that Avatar), and so many FAITHFUL representations of so many characters and ephemera from Marvels expanded consciousness years...Gerber/Starlin would be proud. And it TAKES off with the best opening credits sequence EVER. DO NOT GET THERE LATE.

Mild spoilers...a certain someone, who is prone to making cameos, has an even better one that in Deadpool.

James Gunn is a MARVEL. Truly.

Thank you for finally giving my favorite song from the 70's, Looking Glass' BRANDY, the credit it deserves. Don't ask yourself if you should go see it...ask yourself how many times you should.

And the Thor Ragnarok trailer was AMAZING in Imax l3d.

Saw GotG2... it was... good. 4/5 for me. No spoilers until next week.

I saw GOG2 a couple of days ago. Not a big fan of the Marvel universe or comic book movies in general, but I saw the first one and liked it, so I decided to see this one with the progeny. Very enjoyable, although I thought it should have been 20-30 minutes shorter. Shot beautifully, the scenery was amazing, the sound track was quite cool, very funny like the first one. Solid entertainment right in Hollywood's wheel house. If you like the action/comedy genre, you can't go wrong with this one.

On a side note, I guess I don't need to spend my money to see the new Spiderman movie after the trailer before Guardians pretty much told the entire plot of the upcoming movie.
Boy do I hate that :dwarf:

GoG2 - Haven't laughed and smiled that much through a movie in a long time. 10 out of 10 on the fun meter.

Saw Guardians this weekend.

It was a good time, to be sure, but it didn't quite tickle me the way it seems to've done to others.
