The Avengers/Marvel movies

Nebula. That's the flaw in the theory. Whatever because paradoxes will always happen, but it's still one.

How do you figure?

The Nebula that came forward undercover died in the present. But that's inconsequential because, by returning the Stones to the past, the branch reality that she came from (where Thanos became aware of the future) is extinguished. Never happened in history, so it's not like she'd be missed.

It DID, however, happen in the present, becoming part of this reality. So her body stays here (unless she was dusted). Same with Gamora, assuming she also survived the second dusting (was she at the funeral?), who becomes a part of this reality and can be in later movies.

And of course, the good (present) Nebula survived it all and remains good. And her history remains in tact because they put the Stones back.

And, of course, by "present," I mean five years in their future. The time of the Un-Snappening.

That was AWESOME. Doesn't really make sense that he can conjure lightning with Mjolnir, but I'll let it go because it was ****ing badass and I literally squealed through that entire part.

Ok. so...when did you cry all? I'll start...

When Rocket sat down next to Nebula and held her hand.
When 2 main characters had their post snap reunion Mr. Stark...
Cap's trip backl

And Hulkallo...was odd.

She should have died in the present time once she killed her old self.

Returning the stones just allows it all to happen again. But she should be dead at that point and moving forward. It creates a paradox for sure.

I cried when Natasha sacrificed herself.
I actually didn’t cry much when Tony died because I was kind of expecting his death to somehow be undone so I don’t think it really hit me. I definitely shed a tear when Pepper said he could rest now and then I pretty much cried through the entire funeral scene.
Then the end with Peggy. I was sobbing. I don’t love that ending for Cap but it totally hit me in the feels.

Man, now I can see why you all got annoyed with me when I nitpicked. It's a damned near perfect movie. And when you watch them back-to-back(Firestick cheat), it's pretty freaking impressive. Not only what the Russos did to move the pieces, but the selections they chose for the more character driven second half. It's really a testament to organization what they were able to accomplish and these little pickings are inconsequential. Ok, so maybe you're right, does it change anything? Does it take you out of it all, NO.

It read it as that by returning the stones so Quill finds the orb, the present remains intact. It was a branch reality that saw Thanos and Co move into the present reality and was dealt with at the Mansion battle. Two Nebulas, one dead when the branch reality became part of the present reality.

The questions I have are about the ages of the unsnapped folks. Since five years went by, and they were all brought back, would they be five years younger than survivors, or are they age appropriated as part of the Stark snap?

Meaning, if Ned survived Thanos' snap, shouldn't he be in college and not in Europe for Far from Home?

Ok...re:Nebula.

Didn't Thor bring back Mjolnir?
And Cap bring back the sword?

Now...wasn't Nebula MOSTLY replaced by cybertronics/cybernetics?

So...if stolen artifacts can survive the interruptions in the timestream
Can A being who is mostly parts, survive the paradox as well?

You have the time travel stuff down, I think.

As for Ned and the difference in ages, everyone was dusted.

From SyFy Wire

Well, as is usually the case with these things, the simplest answer is the best one, but directors Joe and Anthony Russo have now helped things along by confirming it: Ned was also snapped.

"So... Ned disappeared as well," Joe Russo told Entertainment Weekly. "That's the two of them seeing each other for the first time after having disappeared."

How is this helping? Just be real. You don't have to tease it like it's some huge thing. Secretly gay? Are they hiding it? Closeted??? Look, Captain Freaking AMERICA didn't bat a damned eyelid in the support meeting in ENDGAME. Just had empathy for another HUMAN BEING. This kinda MYSTERY gay is just insulting.

It will probably be Black Widow or Captain Marvel. Not a "secret", just no reason to have any romantic relationships explained yet.

Regardless...the "Easter egg" treatment is just kind of dismissive. How about NOT making it a plot point?

Well, it hasn't been a plot point for that character yet, and they seem to already know who it is themselves, sooooo....

I mean, on the one hand, I get the argument of not keeping it to themselves for now, if they already know. Why make it a thing to tease? Like why bait the community about it and just say it.

On the other hand, practically EVERYTHING about these movies is a question until it happens on screen. So there's that, too.

Then, like I said above, if they have decided a character is gay, but that character hasn't had any romantic beats so far in their storyline, like Blando's suggestion of Captain Marvel, then there hasn't been a need to address it in an organically on screen. So maybe why make it a point of bringing it up for no apparent reason other than to get it on the record?

My fear with you, though, is that they'll make, say T'Challa bi and then you'll be, like, "Why do they have to make him bi? He was never bi in the comics. Why go out of their way just to to seem inclusive? Why can't he just be bi and, like, never address it? Making it a part of his storyline and showing it on screen is just pandering."

You have absolutely no idea how it's going to be handled. It was just a response to a question about the first openly gay character in one of the movies. None of this is a tease, it could have been known all along and never had any reason to be discussed. It's not like we have had any reason to know who Falcon gets busy with, or what Loki leans to either. It could serve a purpose in a plot down the road, and maybe it could have been inappropriately shoe-horned in "just because" in a previous film but was cut just for the reasons you mention.

Why bother getting upset about it now?

is that you are going to continue to take your snide little snipes while denying that you have a problem with me when confronted. Why don't you just ignore me...like I am trying to do with you. And please don't do your snidely superior 'there is no me and you' mea culpa, ok? I will say it right here and now. I don't like you. in my opinion you are a smug individual with an inexplicably superior opinion of yourself. So, unless you want to actively discuss this, get off my back.

You're another one. You are being contrarian for contrarian's sake. You are in such a rush to prove me wrong(as per usual) that you aren't even hearing my point. I just don't see the purpose of teasing that a current character is gay. I will change the language to put it in a way you may be able to see it. Saying that one of the characters who has already been introduced is gay, is like saying one of the characters works for Hydra. It is a teaser. I don't really feel that it does a service to anyone in the lgbtq community to use someone's sexual identity as some sort of 'Easter Egg/Teaser/surprise'. It implies there should be some sort of 'reveal' or 'a-ha!' moment. Stop floating the trial balloons and just present it as any other normal romantic subplot. We don't NEED an announcement. Let it happen organically. Have some respect for your audience. You don't have to 'prepare' them for it. ****s actual sake...I find it very telling on both of your parts that I have to defend myself on this.
