The Avengers/Marvel movies

Psh... I don't have any concerns. I just know that if I had actually CARED about this movie I would have utterly loathed it.

But I didn't care about it so...... I enjoyed it.

This movie had just as many preposterous plot holes and macguffins as The Dark Knight Rises or The Avengers or Superman Returns.... but this one made me laugh more so I'm sympathetic towards it.

Were there huge logical flaws? Yep.
Could a couple of small tweaks made this movie much better? Yep.
Did I like it anyway? Yep.

Shane Black is good with pace, the pretense of story structure, spectacle and humor. Intentional or unintentional nods to Lethal Weapon 2 and The Last Action Hero. Add a good cast. I enjoyed it.

Not to mention the tree lot motor home which was straight out of Lethal Weapon 1...

I feel the same. The scene with everyone getting shot out of the plane was completely ridiculous (if you can only carry 4 people, how is having them link arms going to change a damn thing? And wouldn't being sucked out like that kill a person on it's own?), but, ****, that sequence was cool. There was enough of that distraction stuff, whether it was the humor or the action set pieces, for me to enjoy the film anyway.

I also thought the ending was by the far the worst of it, and I was really disappointed to see Pepper go all Mary Jane Watson (as BoobyTrap would say) and start giving him **** about spending too much time with Iron Man instead of her right after the battle was won and after she got to have her badass moment.

I could nitpick bits and pieces off the movie all day, but at the end, I still had a a lot of fun watching it.

Do people actually like Captain America or is he just a requisite at this point?
