The Avengers/Marvel movies

The problem with rating systems they use can not take into account that shows like AOS end up being DVR'ed a lot due to it being on at the same timeslot as the new NCIS New Orleans that follows the original NCIS.

That's kind...but I bet even if you factored in the dvr+ ratings and the HUlu ratings this show doesn't justify it's existence. Just wonder how long they will carry it at a minus.

I would assume due to Disney wanting their marvel line to have a TV presence on ABC which is owned by them that the leash may be a lot longer for AOS than a lot of other shows.

Clearly, because any other show never would have made it through the first season much less get renewed for a second season. But even Disney/Marvel will have to pull the plug and admit defest at SOME point.

Especially considering AoS is getting it's own in-marvel-continuity comic book.

That would be some damned impressive planning.

"… some damned impressive planning… " a.k.a. what Marvel and DC have been executing for a long time, not that it has always been good, but it has given them plenty of experience at working out crossover storylines utilizing a mixture of creatives.

Everyone but Disney, probably. :)

These things are accounted for eventually as well as international business. It will continue as long as there's money in it.

You realize they have a SECOND show coming on at midseason, right? And the teaser in the premiere was the world's shortest backdoor pilot for it. Based on it, I'm much more excited for that, actually.

The first big piece of news coming out of the panel is that Rosario Dawson, who is not in attendance, is going to be playing Claire Temple. In the comics, Temple nurse and is the ex-wife of Bill Foster / Goliath and was once a love interest for Luke Cage.

If I remember my Daredevil: Man Without Fear correctly, the black outfit is what he wore before he put on the red stuff. Hopefully, that's the same here.

Civil War: Avenger Against Avenger

Robert Downey Jr. is reportedly set to sign on to Captain America 3, which may bring fans the Civil War storyline from Marvel’s comic books and start a new phase of movies for the studio.

Variety has just reported that Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr. will be joining the highly anticipated Captain America 3 with actor Chris Evans. The actor is in final negotiations to play Tony Stark once again in the third Captain America, which is set to hit theaters May 6, 2016.
...

Apparently Marvel intended to hire Robert Downey Jr. for a smaller role in the film, which would reportedly only have taken three weeks to film. Now it seems he will have a much larger role, which could mean he’s somewhat of a villain in the film in Rogers’ eyes.

Downey reportedly wanted Stark to have a larger role in the film, which supposedly angered Marvel Entertainment chief Ike Perlmutter. Perlmutter ordered the film’s screenwriters to write Iron Man out of the Captain America 3 script, according to Variety’s sources.

After the deal fell through, Marvel’s president Kevin Feige worked with Downey in an attempt to continue and solidify his role in the MCU. Downey will reportedly earn $40 million for his part in the film, not including the backend profits.

And that is the straw they are gonna use to stir that whole plan of splitting the Avengers, with Iron Man retaining most of the original team, while Cap'n recruits new members, almost guaranteed to include Black Panther and Ms. Marvel or whatever she is being called. Marvel, you gotta hand it to them.

I'm happy that some new characters will be introduced, but I ****ing hated Civil War. I'm really not excited for this.

Prove me wrong, Marvel!
