Huh. Doctor Strange looks like Thor/Inception/Batman Begins. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about that.

According to some reports, the film may feature a few established Marvel Cinematic Universe characters and debut at least one other.

Okay, as long as it's the debut of Tarantula, and it's to set up a Tarantula vs Batroc movie.

Kevin Feige Confirms ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ Coming in Phase 4

In a conversation with io9, Feige acknowledged that a third Guardians movie was probably in the pipeline. “We’re only working on what’s been announced through the end of 2019,” he said. “And it is still a big chess board for 2020 and beyond, but certainly I would say Guardians 3 is [one film that’s] up there. I don’t know what exactly the order will be.”

What if it's this Tarantula?

Or this one?

Awww, nuts! Didn't consider that. Of course, it would have to be the first Tarantula, because it must be an epic clash of kicking and outrageous accents! They have fought each other, briefly, I understand, but I never got to read that.

‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Eyes Michael Keaton for Villain

Variety broke the news about the Michael Keaton Spider-Man casting. Details are being kept under very tight wraps and as of now we don’t know which character Keaton is playing. (For what it’s worth, there was a rumor going around recently that the Vulture could be one of the antagonists appearing in Spider-Man: Homecoming.) Also starring in the film are Marisa Tomei as Peter Parker’s Aunt May, and Zendaya in a mystery role.

Review: 'Captain America: Civil War' Starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Don Cheadle, More

'Civil War' is effective thanks to a focus on character, with the film's extended roster serving to explore and underline absorbing ideas about family, friendship, and the use of power. As big as this movie is, “Captain America: Civil War” thrives on a smaller, human scale. Striking and consistently engaging, the Russos deftly craft compelling blockbuster entertainment out of a a moral and emotional conflict, and that’s more impressive than any overblown display of loud and vulgar power. [A-]

I know Keaton was the titular Birdman in that movie, but he seems more Norman Osborn than Vulture. I'm not looking forward to going over treaded ground, but if they're starting to do things right, might as well go with his archnemesis with such a worthy actor.

I don't disagree, but I also think it's not a bad idea to go with a villain we haven't seen before.

Damn. I barely know anything about this character, but I really wanna see this now.

I mean, I was willing to give it a chance before, because that studio had a solid track record. But that s*** looks compelling on its own.

I love that Dark Avengers storyline, if they can get Keaton involved in the entire MCU as Osborn, yeah, I am in.

I haven't read any spoilers yet, but I wonder if Baron Zemo's role in Civil War is setting up the Thunderbolts?

Now THAT sounds awesome. Both of those things. Yes.

I agree with your non-disagreement. I was actually looking forward to seeing a character who has gone unexplored on the silver screen, but it seems like a waste of Keaton's presence to give him the Vulture. Obviously, the Oscar-nominated actor and Golden-Globe winner would probably just elevate the character with his acting chops, but it seems to me that he'd fit so much better as the industrial tycoon Norman Osborne. Plus, he's also pretty good at portraying the off-the-wall, manic character (Beetlejuice) that would embody the Green Goblin.

In any case, I'm not going to protest much at all as the Spider-Man franchise is back in good hands under Marvel's guidance albeit still under Sony's rights-ownership. Having a quality actor like Keaton is a positive regardless of the role. Personally, I was hoping for Kraven the Hunter, but I'm not opposed to the Vulture at all. In fact, I was hoping to see him in Raimi's Spider-Man 3 before studio interference took hold.
