The Avengers/Marvel movies

So where is everybody at on Luke Cage? Anyone finish it?

I finished it...2 weeks ago? Last weekend? Whichever weekend it premiered. Watched 4 episodes on Friday night and then laid in bed on Sunday and watched the remaining 9 episodes.

I'm not sure if we should stay spoiler-free for now, just in case??

I really loved it though. Another solid Marvel Netflix outing. I'd put it behind Jessica Jones and Daredevil Season 1, but better than Daredevil Season 2. It was a little uneven towards the end, but it had some gooooooood villains and the casting was just A+ for this show. Overall, I really enjoyed it and I am sooooo ready for the Defenders. (I know I'll end up watching it, but I'm kind of meh on Iron Fist.)

It did seem to drag a bit around episode 8 till about episode 11. I like Cottonmouth but I'm not really a fan of Diamondback. I thought the reveal of his backstory was way too rushed.

I am 3 episodes in to Luke Cage and am having trouble getting into it. Am I crazy? I just can't seem to get engaged. It seems slow, the characters outside of Luke and the barber shop owner from banshee haven't done much for me. I assume it's worth it to stick it, but I stopped and switched over to ash vs evil dead, and got through season 1 of that in a few days (awesome).

Agree on Diamondback. Cottonmouth and Mariah are both fantastic characters and Diamondback felt a little lacking. I mean, he was scary (I guess,) but after all of the build-up, he wasn't as great as I was expecting. Cottonmouth and Mariah's backstories were infinitely more interesting and well done in the show.

It definitely had some slow spots

Baby Groot wearing clothes is one of the cutest things I have ever seen. I'm soooooooooooo excited for this movie!
