The Avengers/Marvel movies

My god....Inhumans looks terrible. Agents of SHIELD can be pretty cheesy, but it's still fun. I won't be watching this.

And Medusa's wig is ****ing tragic. Holy crap.

AoS started off poorly and got better. Maybe the same thing will happen with this.

Right? I am not gonna completely judge until I see one episode, but that looks pretty bad, lol.

Maybe we should skip it and go re-read the Jae Lee/Paul Jenkins series/

Shield got the chance to improve. This WILL NOT. Not with the flashy IMAX premieres. This looks like it's going to lose a LOT of money from the jump. It has NONE of the majesty, NONE of the mystical 'otherness' that was forever a hallmark of Marvel's bridge from their more esoteric 70's FarOutPhase to the traditional super team fare. NEVER do they show Black Bolt. NEVER. I didn't know that BB had anything other than a lower face when I was a kid and into adulthood. I LOVE Cullen Bohannon, but for ****s sake, he is given an impossible task here. Ramsey Bolton, is forced to adopt an American accent, when, for once, the British accent would suit the material. The only character that they got right was Lockjaw. But it looks like BB is gonna get deposed and go on the run in the (much cheaper) streets of...Hawaii. Look, I don't have a problem with Medusa's wig. It's wonderfully cheesy as is the facial expression she seems locked into. But they seem more interested in stripping away anything identifiable about the characters. And THAT is the real tragedy. The Inhumans were like a gypsy tribe that somehow rose to power. In an effort to save money...they have made the INhumans terrible human. What a tragic waste.

I just thought about this...what better way to relaunch Marvel Films while trimming expiring contracts amongst Cap'n/Iron Man/etc

Thanos WINS the Infinity War. Then, under the advisement of James Gunn, the FarOutPhase of Marvel begins. And all the movies going forward would have the built in 'villain' of trying to fight the darkness. It would be a really interesting and groundbreaking approach, and it would make all the tie in moves a lot more organic. Would the public have a problem with it? At first...but think of the directions they could go in.

Luke Cage good? I started watching Iron Fist and have had a problem staying engaged. The lead actor is so blah.

Luke Cage is great. Great acting, solid characters. The actor who plays Luke Cage is just perfectly cast.

I haven't tried watching Iron Fist yet. I've never been a huge fan of the character, plus I'm not a fan of Finn Jones.

I got stuck halfway through Luke Cage. Haven't gone back. And I'm not looking forward to Iron Fist. But I really like Daredevil and Jessica Jones, so I may have to slog through those before the Defenders comes around.
