Lemire, Robinson And Azzarello– DC Bullet Points From Fan Expo Canada

Jeff Lemire had a spotlight panel at Fan Expo Canada. At which we learned;

Sweet Tooth will probably end at around issue 50

I would like to take a second and mention that I just recently finished the 3rd trade for Sweet Tooth and it is DANGEROUSLY close to being my favorite book Vertigo is publishing right now. It's really, really excellent and I recommend it to everyone who is literate. Thanks.

GET IT.

Also, from that article:

Azzarello originally turned down Flashpoint: Batman. But after thinking about it said yes. He realized that if Thomas Wayne was Batman then Martha had to be joker “because everyone wants to see Batman and Joker kiss”.

Heh.

Big Fat DC Comics For 2012 Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors

Well, there’s a big hardcover 300 page collection of Warren Ellis’ Stormwatch for January for $40, with a 336 page hardcover of early WildC.A.T.S. for $10. Sounds like a mistake there.

There’s a 500 page hardcover of the DC Universe Stories Of Alan Moore for $50 in February, including Killing Joke and Whatever Happened To The Man Of Tomorrow.

Add to that The Flash by Geoff Johns Omnibus Vol.2, New Teen Titans Omnibus Vol.2, Batman and Son and the Black Glove Deluxe HC, Legends of the Dark Knight: Jim Aparo Vol. 1 HC, Batman Earth One, Batman: Birth of the Demon collecting three trades in one, and 336 page trade paperbacks of Brubaker and Cooke’s Catwoman. Batman: No Man’s Land Vol 2…. and it’s going to be time to build more bookshelves in the New Year. Unless yiu’re holding out fr the IDW Artists’ Editions that is.

Awesome.

The price on that WildCats book has been fixed, though. It's now $20.

I haven't read Sweet Tooth! :facepalm:

Actually, I was thinking about it too long ago, but couldn't remember the name. All I remember was that there was some dude who looked like a deer on the first issue and that it was getting rave reviews. Spending the previous day drinking to my hearts content seems to have shot my memory. rolleyes:

Hopefully, I'll get to it. ;-)

The first tpb was really sleight...glad they are up to 3 now, might actually be some substance by now...not to say it wasn't good, just really minimal.

Anybody else read the first issue of the new Justice League yet?

I thought it was mostly pretty alright. It's going to take a while to get used to these being "new" characters, though.
