Oof. That Cyclops costume is brutal.

Oof. That Cyclops costume is brutal.

There are a few nice things there...Old school Wolvie, Nova(btw, what # Nova are we on now...he's the ****ing Firestorm of the Marvel universe)...but the rest is ass. More Ultimates Nick Fury(UGH), Hulk with those weird regenerative magnet bracelets they advertise on late night tv(oh and Magneto just kicked you ass into a ball Hulk), the Cyclops tragedy, and who is the Deadpool/Deathstroke wanna be with the eyepatch? Cable? Kinda perfect...the machine gun toting racoon is the most viable of the bunch.

Nova(btw, what # Nova are we on now...he's the ****ing Firestorm of the Marvel universe)

I'm assuming this will still be Richard Rider. Last anybody saw of him was when he, Star-Lord and Thanos got sucked into the Cancerverse and thought lost forever (sure!). Thanos has obviously made his way back, so it's probably Rider back, too. Not sure where Star-Lord is at.

Just FYI. :)

Zack Snyder’s MAN OF STEEL to Be Post-Converted to 3D; Plus a New Synopsis

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question ‘Why am I here?’ Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. Clark must become a Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world’s beacon of hope – Superman.

Anyone else getting worried about this one yet. Should see some stuff @SDCC...I'll let you know.

More From George Perez On Working At DC Comics | Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors

Things are being second guessed left and right, a case of too many chiefs, not enough Indians now. Whether it will work? Who am I to say. They want it to be like Hollywood, and it’s becoming like Hollywood, in producing comics, and what you have is a corporate room deciding where things are going to go. And part of the reason for me leaving Superman is that I had certain ideas I wanted to do unfortunately, stuff that they okay one day, they would change their mind the next day, and it was becoming waytoo difficult, slowing us down. That ws unfortunate. I hope they succeed for the industry’s sakeIn the case of Superman they didn’t want a writer, they wanted a typewriter. They have to deal with people producing the movie, who also had a say in what’s going on in the comic as well. My one fear, I’m not producing a comic, I’m producing a storyboard for a movie, that’s not what I wanted to do.

So I decided to bow out, and stay on as penciller, where I have fewer headaches – not no headaches, but fewer headaches, In doing World’s Finest, everything’s still being decided at the last minute. They needed a design for Power Girl, they didn’t ask me.They finally gave me the design, they needed to get it out solicitations, got it drawn, got it coloured, got it printed in the solicitation, they called me a week later, we changed our mind on the Power Girl costumes, so now I have to do a patch on the first issue cover and for a mercenary, practical and financial point of view, I just lost the resale value on my artwork, because now the character’s not the same character that appears on the cover and they screwed me out of that, and I shouldn’t have to be thinking about that but you guys really have to make up my minds!

When an artists like Dan Jurgens, one of the fastest most professional in the industry, when I was working with him on Teen Titans, he was always he was three months ahead of schedule. I was having a hell of a time keeping up with him. On Green Arrow, he was basically trying just to make the deadline and not be late, because kept changing their mind on the stories.

In the case of Superman I didn’t want to wait around any more. I need to get away, it was not conducive. I didn’t want to end up hating working on the book.

Oof.

Thanos gets his supervillain due in miniseries and 'Avengers' worlds

Marvel Comics is thinking along the same lines: In October, Thanos: Son of Titan makes its debut as a five-issue miniseries that reveals the origin of this major galactic threat to civilization. (Thanos is also the foil to Captain America, Iron Man and Thor in Marvel's Avengers Assemble series.)

Written by Joe Keatinge who is doing the so far very good relaunch of Glory over at Image. Sign me the **** up!!!!

Fox Have To Find New Director For Daredevil Pronto Or See Rights Revert To Marvel-Disney | Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors

David Slade has opted to leave the Daredevil reboot he was working on for Fox, apparently due to the accelerated schedule required. If the film isn’t shooting before too long, the rights will lapse and Fox will lose the character back to Marvel, where he’d no doubt be incorporated into the expanding Marvel Studios Movieverse.

Deadline say that the film will have to get shooting this Autumn, which really doesn’t leave much time at all.

I'm hoping it ends up reverting back to Marvel somehow.

Comic-Con '12 Review: 'Dredd' A Visually Strong, Engaging But Ultimately Empty Cinematic Experience | The Playlist

Within genre conventions, “Dredd” satsfies as a containment thriller, buddy cop movie and futuristic action gorefest; the performances are strong, the characters thoughtfully developed and the visuals beautifully executed. But if just asking the question “What was that film actually about?” is all that’s necessary to undermine the surface-level enjoyment of watching Urban and Thirlby fight their way out of a well-designed structure, why does it matter – not to mention, why should we care -- if they ever succeed?

Dude, if it's violent, has well developed characters, strong performances and beautiful visuals THEN THAT IS PERFECTLY OK WITH ME.
