Justice League Movie Seems Set To Reunite Man Of Steel's Zack Snyder And David Goyer - Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors

Man, the Superman flick must be something special. Still, it's not as if Snyder isn't capable of handling the supergroup dynamic...say what you want, Watchmen was pretty strong as far as rotating characters. And he seems ready made for BIG movies. And someone else will be writing...which is the bulk of complaints directed towards him. And if Flash ain't one to be speed ramped, well there is just no use for that technology.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Casts Lee Pace as Villain | Collider

well, if you can't get the lead, villain is just as well. I guess Thanos won't be the main, or only baddie in this one. I have high hopes for this. Think Gunn is gonna take us to a whole new level of superhero flick.

After reading this:

Guardians Of The Galaxy To Feature The Collector, Ophelia Lovibond Has Joined The Cast - Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors

I'm beginning to worry this movie might have too much going on. I'm going to assume that the Collector has a small role that basically consists of "Thanos beat me up and took my Infinity Gem", but I wonder who Pace is going to play?

Neal Moritz Talks BATTLE: L.A. 2, PREACHER, THE BOYS, and D.J. Caruso

Another long-developing project is an adaptation of the graphic novel Preacher. Sam Mendes was attached to direct for a while, but he previously told Steve that he just couldn’t quite crack how to tell the story tonally. Moritz confirmed that they are moving in a different direction on the project now, but it still sounds like it’s a ways off:

“We’re actually talking about a little different direction on it. It is a priority, but it’s one of those that is—a very hard movie to get made in Hollywood today. But we’re really working on it.”

Speaking of difficult graphic novel adaptations, Moritz is also producing The Boys, which has Anchorman director Adam McKay attached to direct:

“The Boys we’re working on with Adam McKay right now. He would love to do it and we’re in the middle of working on it right now.”

Have to admire McKay's tenacity...he has been sticking with this for a few years now

FANTASTIC FOUR Reboot May Cast Michael B. Jordan as the Human Torch/Johnny Storm | Collider

Of course, the real noteworthy item here is that Jordan is black and in the comics Johnny Storm is white. This fact will undoubtedly infuriate geeks who are racist and/or horribly OCD. There’s nothing in the comics that forces the character to be white (the Fantastic Four have been around for over 50 years, but I don’t think his origin has ever been retconned to bringing him over on the Mayflower).

Good actor/bad move. No...I am not Racist and recovering ocd...but there is something in the comics that forces the character to be white...THE FACT THAT HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN WHITE IN THE COMICS. So, you make a Godfather remake and recast Brando's role with Forrest Whittaker. Come on. Enough with the retconning in the interest of racial equality. Its a damned comic book movie. I want to see my fave characters represented the way they were established. Hell, make him a muslim woman too. Whatever.
