Horror Comic ‘Hack/Slash’ Now on Track to Become a TV Series
http://collider.com/hack-slash-tv-series/

Man, all the networks are scrambling right now to lock up properties. We could be entering into the golden age of Comic Book television.

Or, just a bunch of crap.

Hack/Slash as a concept is perfect for TV (hot lady goes around killing monsters), but looking at the resume of the scriptwriter does not inspire a lot of confidence (A Good Day to Die Hard, Hitman, and Swordfish).

But who knows?

James McAvoy And Charlize Theron Head For The Coldest City

According to Variety, James McAvoy will be joining Charlize Theron in The Coldest City, to be directed by John Wick co-director David Leitch.

The film, based on the graphic novel by Antony Johnston and Sam Hart, is set in November of 1989, just before the fall of the Berlin Wall. It centers on Theron’s Lorraine Broughton, who must find a list of undercover agents — on all sides — working in Berlin after the MI6 agent tasked with bringing the list back from the east of the city is found dead.

Just picked up a copy of this the other day.

I guess the original came out in 1980 something. I actually just recently started to watch this for the first time thanks to Youtube, haha, and I think it's a rather charming show. I suppose the new version can work as long as it isn't a new "gritty" version. I still think it's something just how many shows are coming out based on comics or part of the Superhero genre. It might eventually get oversaturated when every other show is a superhero show, lol, but I'll enjoy it while I can. ;)

Follow it up with the Boys if you haven't read that yet. No better 1-2 punch combo in my 'umble opinion.

I haven't read the entire The Boys series, but I have gotten through a good amount of the series. I remember reading the first volume and knew I was in for some weird ride when the girlfriend gets accidentally killed and the poor guy is left holding her detached arms! :O

I would love to hang out with Ennis, but I sorta don't because his imagination scares me, haha.

You left that part out. With that team, it is almost guaranteed to try to recapture the tone of the original series. I think Flash has shown that it's ok to go a little more campy with tv superheroes and people will still tune in.
