?Deadpool? Banned In China
http://uproxx.com/gammasquad/deadpool-banned-in-china/

According to The Hollywood Reporter, China?s censorship authorities have banned Deadpool from Chinese theaters due to ?violence, nudity, and graphic language.?

China has no ratings system, so the country?s media regulator, the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (SAPPRFT), makes an up-down judgment on all film imports, approving or banning them for consumption by Chinese viewers of all ages.

Normally, a studio will re-cut a film to please the SAPPRFT, but a source tells The Hollywood Reporter that the offending scenes were too entwined with the plot to cut. Considering China is the second largest theatrical market in the world ? with other Marvel movies earning millions there ($240 million for Avengers: Age of Ultron, $105.4 million for Ant-Man, and $96.4 million for Guardians of the Galaxy) ? Fox may want to reconsider that one little kid?s request for a PG-13 cut.

We?ll wait and see how this story develops; we can?t imagine Marvel leaving that much money on the table when some creative editing (or graft) could get the film approved. In the meantime, here?s a spanking new Deadpool TV spot promising approximately five percent new footage:

Ugh. Don't sleep on the importance of this. China is ALMOST more important than the US at this point. Studios have been outright pandering to the Asian markets. Just makes the test case status of this movie even more precarious. Sad news indeed.

First ‘Deadpool’ Reactions Praise R-Rated Superhero Adaptation
http://collider.com/deadpool-movie-...utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=collidersocial

This evening, fans in New York and Los Angeles attended what they thought was going to be a preview of footage from 20th Century Fox’s upcoming superhero pic Deadpool. Instead, they were treated to the whole movie. Yep, Deadpool has screened folks, and the first reactions from this admittedly select group of fans are highly positive. One even goes so far as to call it the best Marvel adaptation yet, with self-proclaimed fans of the source material saying they’re incredibly pleased with the resulting film from director Tim Miller...

...For now, the fan response from these surprise screenings is certainly positive. I’m curious to see what the critical response to the film will be, seeing as how it’s still a fairly tough sell and will likely need strong word of mouth to reach the box office heights of many of its PG-13 contemporaries. This fan screening is getting things off to a strong start, and as a big fan of the marketing materials thus far, I continue to have high hopes.

YOU GOTTA GO SEE THIS WITH A FRIEND OR SEVEN OPENING WEEKEND!!!!!

At the NYC Deadpool fan event, which turned out to be a surprise early screening of the film, fans got their first full taste of the very different X-Men movie. The film is rated R, and it's clear from very early on in the movie why.

The violence, nudity, gore, and language are pervasive throughout the entire film. There are absolutely essential scenes that include nudity and gore, and every fight scene's violence was shot and produced to be R-rated. There is a petition to make a PG-13 cut of the film, but it'd be next to impossible, having seen it, to do so. Fox would need to spend millions of dollars redoing entire sequences in visual effects, and dubbing over the dialogue.

As it turns out, star Ryan Reynolds, who was also very involved in the writing and production of the movie, agrees.

"I don’t think so," he said when asked if 20th Century Fox would even consider a PG-13 cut of Deadpool. "I mean, you saw it. That would be a very short movie. It’s almost a commercial at that point."

Ryan Reynolds Says They're Already Talking about Cable and Deadpool Movie

When he was asked what characters they wanted that they couldn't include, Reynolds echoed Director Tim Miller's reply, instantly saying "Taskmaster. We all [wanted him]." Unfortunately for them, it appears the movie rights to the character have gone back to Marvel Studios. When the filmmakers contacted 20th Century Fox about it, "the studio just called us back and said 'cha-ching.'" And that was it.

AwmAAAAAAAAANNNNNNN!!!!! F U Marvel.

‘Deadpool’ Will Leave Audiences Laughing With A Post-Credits Scene
http://uproxx.com/gammasquad/deadpool-confirmed-post-credits-scene/

and according to those in attendance, there was a post-credits scene. Details about what the post-credits scene contained are scarce, and I wouldn’t want to spoil them anyways, but according to Screen Rant, the scene was fairly low-key and comedic in nature. This is interesting, because Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick teased a much more ambitious post-credits scene a few months back…

“There is a post credit thing that if hopefully comes together, It’s gonna be phenomenal. We’re planning it. It’s one of those ones that’s gonna require some doing, so it may not come together, and if so, I don’t know, we’ll either do a plan be or none at all. I think we should have one, I mean, we really feel like we should have one.”

So, did Fox swap out this post-credits scene for something more lighthearted in order to avoid spoilers getting out? Or did this “phenomenal” scene just not come together? Either way, we know some kind of post-credits scene exists, so make sure to stick around for the Deadpool afterglow.
