One of my absolute favorites and very high on the list of funniest things Garth Ennis has ever written. HIGHLY recommended.

Enjoyed it a lot, but it really has the usual Marvel problem... the villain(s). Just like Ant-man it tackled all the proper origin stuff in less than 2 hours and left you excited for more.

The movie was only rated 14A up here, so there were several 10 and under kids in the theater at my afternoon showing. Boobs do not get the instant R rating here.

I actually watched Ant-man the same night after seeing Deadpool. It was decent enough and seemed well done but I just didn't get into it near as much as Deadpool.

Did this one get posted yet? Anyway, it's a good, and seemingly popular, take.

DEADPOOL Marks The Death Of The X-Film As We Know It

Devan Faraci usually makes good points, this is no exception. His critique of the xfilms is about as spot on as you could get. And I agree. A better understanding of the characters is what's needed in these movies. Not whether they should all be rated r or not. You don't have to be a slave to the source material, but you should be almost religiously aware of what makes the character popular to begin with. I never thought Jackman's Wolverine came even close to the cigar chompin, bad attitude, borderline feral version that i loved in the comics. They sanded down all the rough edges so that the ladies liked him. THAT'S NOT WOLVERINE!!!!!! That's why they had Cyclops.

My friend your comments here - and the noted article - are SPOT-FREAKING-ON!

Fans Petition to Have Deadpool Host ‘Saturday Night Live’
http://collider.com/deadpool-petition-snl-host/

Brilliant? Overkill? Little column A, little column B?

A few questions... 1) has a character ever hosted SNL? If so, how did it go over? 2) Will he be able to drop f-bombs? 3) Do the people who put together these petitions actually think they're efforts are going to make a difference?

I think I know the answers to 2 & 3, but I'm not sure about 1.
