Is Sergeant Blast The First Hanna-Barbera Trans Character?

Omigod. This is so far worse than I even expected. Click on the link to see some of the 'art' from the Wacky Racers abomination.
I still can't believe that's happening, not a trans character, but the whole gritty Hanna Barbera comics. Who's the intended audience? DC fail. :fpalm:

I am pretty optimistic of the Rebirth comics though which I will try to get to this weekend. I want to convince myself DC hasn't gone completely bad, haha.

My LCS laughed at me when I asked if they has Green Arrow Rebirth last week. Good thing WW is on my pull list, or I'm sure I'd miss that too. My LCS was obviously underprepared for Rebirth.

Rebirth sounds like a course correction from the 'New 52'. But I will not be convinced until they remove that poseur Lobo. And by remove, I mean remove his head from his dainty little body. You don't mess with the main main.

Thought this might appeal to a couple of you collector types in here.

Maybe.

Maybe not.

Marvel Reps Shut Down Stan Lee At Denver Comic-Con When He Tried To Name His Favorite Movie Cameo
http://uproxx.com/gammasquad/denver-comic-con-stan-lee-marvel/

For example, just look at the way he leapt from that couch (around the 4:25 mark) to find out why he wasn’t allowed to talk about his favorite Marvel movie cameo. Sure, Marvel is notoriously strategic and diabolical when it comes to keeping its movie secrets hush-hush, but Lee just wanted to have some fun and tease his fans a little. But because his favorite cameo is still to come – he admits that he has at least three more cameos in upcoming MCU films – Marvel reps were understandably quick to tell everyone’s favorite storyteller to use his heightened ability to zip his lips.

Lee talked about plenty in Denver, including an enthusiastic endorsement of Tom Holland as the new Spider-Man, but when one young fan asked him to name his favorite movie that he has appeared in, Lee picked one that doesn’t have Marvel’s name attached. “I got a big kick out of Mallrats,” he says around the 21:00 mark, before telling yet another great story. Somewhere, Kevin Smith’s jorts are bursting with pride.

Elizabeth Banks Was Told She Was ‘Too Old’ To Play Mary Jane In ‘Spider-Man’
http://uproxx.com/movies/elizabeth-banks-mary-jane-spider-man/

in context...

According to a recent interview, somewhere out there in the multiverse, there’s a world in which Elizabeth Banks played the role of Mary Jane Watson in the original 2002 Spider-Man film. The role, as many of you probably know, went to Kirsten Dunst, who was in her late teens at the time.
