It’s funny to remember all the hot takes about Rantanen when he was struggling to fit into the Canes offense. He’s 100% is a franchise player and worth every penny of his contract regardless if Nate MacKinnon is on his line or Roope Hintz.

I hate to see a team rewarded when their build strategy is to pick up the trash cast offs from other teams. Gamble? Abuse? Disciplinary or problems with your teammates, or their wives? There is a place for you in Edmonton once you've been waived by your current team.

Man, Vegass doesn't seem to match up with the Coilers as well as the Kings did in the first two games in Round 1. They're also becoming predictable in their patterns like the Kings. It's Game 4 and Vegass let in 3 unanswered goals to Deadmonton already while Vegass hasn't responded back yet. Their D isn't as good as LA is despite supposedly having more grit and better O overall.

Seriously, I can't believe Vegass phoned in their performance in Game 4 tonight. It's like the Kings phoning in their own performance in Game 5 a week and a half ago. At least the Kings got themselves at least a goal and had Kuemper show up well awake in that game.

But, “Vegass” made me laugh out loud. Thank you!

If Dallas loses for the third time in a row in the WCF, and second time in a row to the Oilers, they’ll officially be like a good version of the Kings. Be better than that, Dallas. I used to hate DeBoer. Now he gives me heart eyes for two week periods once a year only. Do it Pete!

I have to give him credit for learning from his mistakes. Remember in 2012 when he spent half of game six whining to everyone and everything about Stoll not getting called for boarding (which would have been a joke).
