The other teams thread

I have to give him credit for learning from his mistakes. Remember in 2012 when he spent half of game six whining to everyone and everything about Stoll not getting called for boarding (which would have been a joke).
I honestly don’t because I just remember the whining about Justin Williams goal in game 7 when he poked it under Niemi.

But back up. You’re saying a coach could react rationally to an unfortunate bounce or play against his team? And not like, get distracted or even make some bogus challenge? That’s next level coaching.

Yeah, the Stoll play was during the 5 minute major (Scuderi got bloodied) and DeBoer just wouldn't let it go, he spent the rest of the game whining and his team completely fell apart. One thing I totally admired about Sutter was that he never lost his cool on the bench (at least with officials).

Wait yeah I remember that. I forgot DeBoer was the Devils coach in ‘12. That was a controversial missed call in some circles. Seen so much worse these days.

Man how could I forget - Kings beat TODD in 14. I just associated DeBoer with the Sharks since he lost in the Finals again but them in ‘15.

I know everyone was quick to drag Doughty for looking long in the tooth vs. Edmonton but nobody is saying the same for Pietrangelo who has looked completely washed in this series. In fact all of Vegas’ d-men have been different shades of ineffective this series.

Toronto does what they do best in the playoffs: choke when it matters the most. They're now one game away from being eliminated.

I've heard that Marner puts on a disappearing act when it comes to the playoffs. I really don't think the Kings should ever trade for Marner. He's like the EC equivalent of Pavelski but much worse. At least Pavelski produces at times in the playoffs even though he's also a choke artist.

60 minutes of regulation have concluded and Game 5 between Deadmonton and Vegass remains a goalie duel, scoreless tie for now.

I have a bad feeling that Deadmonton is going to pull the rug from under Vegass and send them to the golf course in OT. I'm on the lookout for it unless Vegass proves me wrong.

Now I really hope either Dallas or Winnipeg will teach Deadmonton a thing or two in the WCF and eliminate Deadmonton. If I haven't hated Deadmonton that much before, I sure really hate them a lot more now. They're getting all the good and lucky chances coming their way and then feasting on them so well that it's unreal. F that entire organization and its extremely spoiled-rotten fanbase.

Guess I need to root for the F'ing Stars or the F' Panthers to beat the Oilers at this point, such a disappointing year of hockey....

You suck Vegas. Seriously, if the Soilers win the Cup this year I’m not going to say oh well we lost to the champs. I’m going to be pissed that our coach screwed up & we didn’t beat them when we had the chance.

And with 2 series done & 2 at 3-1 it looks like all the teams I thought would win the 2nd round are going to get bounced.

But Doughty did look like crap. You could beat him wide virtually every single time down the ice. That's not the Drew we've watched for a decade and a half. I don't even remember him looking that sluggish in the 4NT, so I wonder if he had some setback late in the season.
