Power Forward remains the most desirable player type in modern NHL history.
I don't know if it's a bad trade on Anaheim's part or Gibson's value has really diminished. First of all I think he's the most overrated goalie of the last 10 years, ever since he had a few good games against the Kings in 2014. But over the last few years every time they've tried to trade him he's gotten hurt. And as of right now Dostal is a better goalie for Anaheim. So I don't know, maybe Mrazek is the best they could get for him now. It certainly wouldn't have been 2 years ago. They finally trade Gibson…for a goalie?

Aaron Ekblad agrees to eight-year deal to stay with Florida Panthers
Aaron Ekblad has agreed to an eight-year deal with an annual cap hit around $6,.1 million with the Florida Panthers, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported on Monday.www.sportsnet.ca
So much for him going to Toronto like a lot of pundits were saying ..
Unless my math is off. they have just over $4M in cap space and haven't resigned Schmidt yet. Some GMs have better calculators...Sounds like Marchand is staying in Florida.
Teams can exceed the upper limit of the cap by 10% during the off-season so they’ll have plenty of time get compliant before opening night.Unless my math is off. they have just over $4M in cap space and haven't resigned Schmidt yet.
I read it's 6 years ... 32M ... 6 years???Teams can exceed the upper limit of the cap by 10% during the off-season so they’ll have plenty of time get compliant before opening night.
