I'd avoid Bevmo for the beers. word has it they stock the beers in a warm warehouse and on the shelves when most of them should be kept cold.

I know it is late notice, but if you want to get the hell out of the 3 digit temps for a few hours this afternoon, you will not be disappointed attending this event.
Great food, great music, great beers or wines all for a descent admission with proceeds going for great causes. You will not meet a stranger there.
Tehachapi is just a couple hours from most of you Angelino's. It is a valley separating the Sierra Nevadas and Tehachapi Mt ranges, in between Mojave and Bakersfield on State Hwy 58. It is frwy all the way from LA.

Saw a stack of Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest at Whole Foods yesterday. Happy Halloween everybody!

Who is brewing it for them? That will likely decide if I would be interested or not.

Lost Coast, pretty sure they are still independent. Just a fairly large independent

Yessir, independent since 1989 or '90 (depending on who you ask) and somewhere in the 40s on the list of largest U.S. craft brewers.

every year most pumpkin beers are better than others. again, every year, there are those role reversals. Dogfish Head is a prime example. last year's batch was so-so in comparison to this year's which I find highly enjoyable. I have yet to try others. I still have KRBC's from last year which I would like to compare with their most recent batch.

I've lost my taste for pumpkin ales a bit, though I still enjoy some of them. KRBC pumpkin ale, Bruery Autumn Maple, and Avery Rumpkin come to mind. Most others tend to over-do the spices, in my opinion.

Non beer recommendation, but beer related... Anybody who lives in Ventura or the environs - there is a cool beer fest coming up this Saturday, May 20, Surf N Suds. A bunch of really good breweries showing up, some I've never tried. We'll be pouring Central Coast Brewing beer and I'll be there doing so. Worth checking out if you can make it. Come by and say HI if you do. https://surfbeerfest.com/ventura-2017

Have you tried the Made West Standard beer?
