And of course we had a Vertical Epic 07.07.07 (BTW if anyone has an '02 lying around, even though the actual beer was pretty bad, it was so limited that bottles are selling upwards of $250)
I had this bottle stored for at least another 18 months after purchase before finally putting it in the fridge.
Last night I had a Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar. Dee-licious !!! I'm not very big on brown ales, but this one would pair excellent with dessert or just to throw in the mix if you're hopped out on the bitter sided brews.
I haven't sampled much from Rogue, but will be picking up more of their brews pretty soon.
Sam from Stuffed Sandwich had been bugging me to find the '02 for him. He LOVES Stone Brews.
I finally opened my last bottle of Supplication Ale. This beer is so complex, it is closer to wine then it is beer. It's a brown ale aged for 12 months in oak Pinot Noir barrels with tart cherries added. I had this bottle stored for at least another 18 months after purchase before finally putting it in the fridge.
Nice reddish brown hue, with a wonderful aroma. This is beer meant to be sipped slowly and savored. I wish I had more, but at $10.00 a bottle, it is not in my everyday beer budget.
